Great experience so far with the Tacoma. Have loved the ride and comfort it provides, with the only negative so far being some of the quality of the interior isn’t the greatest. The door panels specifically are loose feeling on the handles, seems cheap for a $55k truck.

The Gen 4 Tacoma is very nice. There are a few issues that Toyota should have never allowed. First, as in the Gen 3, the drivers side assist handle is missing. That is a nice feature that should be in the truck. Second, the glove box door looseness is an embarrassment. It is disgustingly loose. I was able to buy some inserts online for $11. Toyota ought to be doing that for all the trucks. Third, the electronic stuff is WAY WAY WAY overboard. Way too much and way to confusing and way to difficult to shut off and keep off. I want a truck I can drive, not wrestle with the electronics. The notion of not being able to buy desired options is terrible. I do not need a power tailgate and inability to open the tail gate without a key. Either pay $4000 for some thinks you want or pay $8000 to get lots of stuff you don't want just to get 1 or 2 things you do want. The electronic dashboard is way overboard. Another 'feature' that is way overboard and can not be simplified. This is a truck, how about some analog gauges? The good part is the ride is amazingly solid and smooth, performance is pretty snappy for a relatively heavy vehicle and I expect Toyota longevity. Overall, the basic truck is nice, but the extra stuff is unwanted, unnecessary and adds complexity that is not desired

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TrailHunter is a special vehicle. It is a definite upgrade from any Toyota Tacoma ever produced. The list of improvements and options is too long to specify. It has everything you need for your daily commute and off-road adventures plus extra. Technology and convenience built in. The only drawback is the interior is a bit tight particularly in the back along with the price being a bit elevated, but you should be able to negotiate a better end-of-the-model year deal.

For a 2.4 it has a nice pick up and go. I love the features with the 14” screen it’s amazing to see gps maps and all the features.

Saw a car, bought a car; overall a great experience. I did my research on the net and found a few cars I wanted. Most turned out to junk, but theirs was in great condition. Usual stuff from used car dealer: We're losing money at that price, you really want it, your wife likes, etc. But they went down on price anyway. My wife did a great job telling them its not really the color she likes :) What really got them was showing them a "better" car price (even though it didn't have the options nad had repaired damage).

I purchased a 2009 Honda Odyssey from 355 Toyota yesterday. I called the dealership the day prior and negotiated the price before walking into the dealership. Syd was great with this process and was very helpful from start to finish. I drove from Stafford, VA to MD to purchase the van and the price was exactly the same as I was stated over the phone and it was very, very reasonable. I had to have my trade-in appraised and honestly, they were a little low, but remember, they are in the business to maximize there profits on their vehicle and offer as little on your trade as they possibly can. After much negotiating, we worked the price out on my trade-in. I then went into the finance office and Payam Marandloui was more than helpful. I had a great experience with 355 and I am sure the staff was happy for me to leave, but everyone was very professional. In the hills of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia or anywhere there’s a big hill/mountain do not expect engine performance. It’s get up and go is gone!

After 15 years with my previous Tacoma TRD Offroad, I bought the same vehicle to replace it. I really wasn't ready to replace it but the 24's don't excite me with the 4 cylinder turbo and I figured the longer I wait, the harder it would be to find a discontinued 6 cylinder in new condition. I got lucky and found a 3 month old 23 with 1,400 miles on it. I think Toyota screwed up with the 24 models, they cheapened them in many ways, crap engine, thinner frame, less underbody protection. Basically, they made them for people who don't want or need a truck but like the image.

Purchased a Corolla XSE 2023 in December of 2022. For six months I was trying to find a blueprint color XSE. I called several dealerships looking for this color but no luck. Ali the salesman found it for me he is very polite guy. What criteria do you have in shopping your next used vehicle? 1. You want to buy a used car that is believed to be absolutely trouble free (Equivalent to a certified grade). 2. You are ok to buy a car at a fair market price (You are not trying to find a steal deal or to negotiate a price). 3. You hate sales pitch. Then go to Carmax. This is my best advice based on my past car buying experiences with all sorts of car dealers. You can't go wrong with Carmax if the above three are your criteria. Carmax set an extremely high standard in their car reconditioning protocols. Carmax certification is as good as manufacturer's certifications. Meanwhile, you will be discouraged if you come to Carmax in hope to find a steal deal, because all of their cars are priced RIGHT, and they never give you a room to negotiate over the price. This means that they don't play games, and they don't let you play games, either. They are fair. You have to be fair, too. A good news is, they don't try to steal your money. So don't try to steal theirs. However, I have one serious advice: Get pre-approved by a local credit union before coming to Carmax. While Carmax too does offer financing, their repayment rule has a catch. Say your monthly payment was set to $100. If you put $500 at once, you expect that the extra $400 would automatically go to principal payment, right? Not with Carmax financing. Instead, the first $300 goes to the three upcoming monthly payments, and only the remaining $200 will go to principal payment. If you intend to pay off your auto loan quick, this repayment rule that they set up is a deal breaker. A good thing is, they will gladly let you use your credit union financing; they won't pressure you into choosing their financing service. Good luck, and never go back to liars that live in the rest of the world.

Remote connect is cool. But it does not reporting your windows are open. Secondly if the car has started remotely and you open the doors. Car shuts off. They say it’s a safety feature. It’s not because I’m 2024 models that problem is not present

This was the first time that I've used CarMax... always felt that the "no-haggle" thing was just a grift. It's not. Very fairly priced car in pristine condition. They even transferred it for free. Transaction was relatively quick and painless as well. They were even able to take care of the REAL tags and title there as well. If you do your pricing research, they are most definitely an option. And thankfully there was no sleazy salesman vibe or upwelling. Would gladly use them again. Oh, and they actually FILLED the tank, which USED TO BE commonplace, and I didn't have to ask.

Was looking for a mid-size truck to replace a big Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 and a small 90's model Chevy S-10 pickup. Was interested in the new gen Nissan Frontier but went with the Tacoma. My first ever Tacoma truck. A 2022 SR with the V-6 motor and SX package. Purchased it used with about 9,000 miles on it. Overall I really like the size and style of the vehicle. The previous owner put a leveling kit and wheel spaces on it. As well as 285 AT tires. It has that go anywhere look. And while it has the power, the tranny is lackluster. And it rides like a truck which is good and bad. I've had a lot of compliments on it so it's obvious there are a lot of Taco fans out there. I got it at a fair deal and you just can't beat the reliability factor. Probably won't be my last Tacoma because this one meets or exceeds most all my expectations. Happy camper here!

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of getting my own financing first and then picking out the car I wanted. I wanted a 2022 Highlander but I couldnt get more money for it from my credit union unless I cancelled the loan I already had and re-applied for a higher loan. I couldnt stomach risking being left with no loan.

I bought my 2017 in spring of 2020 with 27k miles for $27k. I was specifically looking for a TRD Sport, manual trans. The Tacoma is the only manual trans truck produced anymore. I currently have 80k miles on it now and the blue book still shows it at $23k-$24k. I have not had any issues with it. I have done my own maintenance (oil changes and just recently front brake pads). The 2017 was the last year before they added all the safety stuff with the cruise controls. I'm glad I don't have that stuff. I also have the map system in my factory head unit and don't have to rely on the Apple carplay or Android auto apps. There was some discomfort in the seat. It was easily resolved with items that can be purchased to adjust the seat to your liking. There are a lot of complaints on the power and fuel mileage. Really?? Its a truck. Its not a sports car or compact sedan. Its not going to get the greatest mileage or set land speed records. If you want something that always starts, never leaves you stranded, and you can count on everyday, this is the one. If you want something that you want to spend a bunch of money repairing, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great little truck. will pretty much do all you need. Although comfort and engine are very lackluster. If you're tall, 6' and up. Buy the seat jackers you will need them. Autostart is very clunky as the engine shuts off when you open the door (so basically the same wear and tear as AutoStart/stop). the toyota app is not even on the table if you don't pay the subscription.

I have 89,000 miles on my 2017 Tacoma SR. It has been a great truck except for a couple small issues and one larger issue. The big problem started 3 months ago when the AC compressor started seizing up. Took it to the Toyota dealer for service. I have been waiting on an OEM compressor for over 3 months. Unable to get one even though I had to pay $1000.00 dollars up front to the dealer before they would order it.
