Primera Auto review
October 25, 2019
By Pedro from Thornton
I had been to several dealers and none were able to get us a deal we felt comfortable with for a car we liked. But here at Primera Auto it was different. We found a car we wanted and unfortunately it was sold to another person. But George worked with us for days until he was able to get us into something we liked and felt comfortable in and was at a price that felt right. Thanks George for helping us find a vehicle. We will be back for our next !!

Best Truck I have ever owned.

I had my 96 until I was T-Boned at a stop light while visiting Spokane. The air bags actually deployed in spite of the vehicle being over 24 years old. I was amazed and it probably saved me from broken bones or a skull fracture.
I was sad to see this vehicle go because it was totaled and there is nothing out there that even compares to the great years of service. The model I had included a 3.3L v6 and Posi traction drivetrain with the full towing package. I hauled heavy items across the cascades several times without an issue.

The odometer stopped working at 322223 miles And the trip meter was 667..
But the speedometer still works great roughly guessing right now. I think it has around 375000 miles. And it still starts up and does the job every day? No major engine work done, typical spark plugs, oil change, alternator little things. Nothing major still runs great still very comfortable AC still blows cold. I love this truck, I'll never get rid of it.
I have taken two of my cars to them. They have gone above and beyond to get the best deal for me. Besides that, they communicated throughout the process and made sure all the paperwork was done properly without taking time away from my schedule. Being able to hand this task over and trusting the process made this worth $ by itself.

I have owned 3 Fords 6.0 diesels, the first one was a “06 and I pulled a 16k# fifth wheel and I put 240k on it and traded it in for a “07 Ford F350 6.0 and it was a great truck and a guy approached me one day and asked me how much I wanted for the truck and jokingly him a price and he asked to test drive and after that he had me follow him to the bank and he bought it with just 84k miles on it and then I bought my neighbors “04 Ford F250 6.0 diesel 4x4 crew cab with just 96k miles and it is the best truck out of all of them so far !
Our salesman Doug was fantastic. He got us into a new truck without all the hassle and time wasting I’ve experienced at past dealers. And the whole staff made the purchasing experience pleasant.

I bought a 2000 F-150 Harley Davidson used 10 years ago. I now have 198,000 miles on it and plan on getting another 100,000 out of it. I have done very little to it other than regular maintenance. I have gotten so many compliments on it. The paint is now getting bad and am getting ready to have it painted. I have had many people try to buy it, not for sale. I love my truck!
Bought a gently used van from Hastings Automotive. Easy experience with friendly staff that offered a reasonably good deal. I definitely recommend checking them out.

Probably Most Reliable Ford Ever, Best First Car!

Now I am going to start this out by saying I am not a Ford guy. My family always used Honda because of there unmatched reliability, so I had grown fond of Honda. But I got my first sport trac when I was 16, and anybody who was a teenager and had a vehicle would know you would have some fun with it. When I tell you I stress tested the Sport Trac, I really did. Everything from offroading, had pulled upto 3,000 lbs worth of scrap metal a few times(dont do that tho, was very dangerous, bent bumper ball), and general use and abuse of the vehicle. And at no point did I ever have a real complaint. Its engine had never given me a single issue, and I got it already with about 178k miles. Biggest issue with it was rust, but the engine is a BEAST. Its poor gas mileage makes up for the fact that its engine, in my opinion, is one of THEE best Ford had made in awhile. It was designed in like the 60s and it showed. The truck overall is really comfortable to drive in. Its GREAT in bad weather if you have 4WD or weight in the bed, legit have pulled out Jeeps and other supposed "Off-Roading" Vehicles when mud or snow hindered them, it is honestly a vehicle I'd feel safe driving through a Hurricane with. Its reliability is truly unmatched. I have heard other say its ok, and it may just be a flip of a coin or that half were made in one factory and the other in another factory, but I am on my second Sport Trac, only because my previous one had too much rust to pass. The only reason I hold its reliability to such high regard is because I beat the snot out of my little sport trac and it always got back up without an issue. From scrapping metal with it to just being a teenager and taking it offroading where it certainly shouldnt be able to go. I could go on about how much I love this truck, I may be biased due to it being my first car, but I wouldn't hold it in such high regard if it didnt get me through every snowstorm, mud ditch, big stream, and hot summer day hauling metal, all without any issue or hesitation. I couldn't recommend any other first car than the sport trac. Because it will keep you or your kid safe, both when they are using it normally, as well as when they be teenagers with it. My only issue with it was the fact it had a bumper ball, and that its bed was a bit short for hauling metal. But it makes you a master packer with ratchet straps. 10/10, would recommend it, especially as a first car.
Hunter was great to work with. Very helpful and listened to all concerns. Was not pushy at all, very happy with our experience that we had!

Got the truck as a company vehicle with 305,000 miles on it in 2015. I have 463,000 on it now. It's a 4wd extended cab with the 6.5 ft bed. Replacing the bed now due to corrosion from State Maine winters. Replaced rear springs and shocks as well with bed replacement. Othervthan brakes and other wear parts the rest of truck is all original. Gets 18+ mpg. Old Faithfull as I refer to it.
Great service and helped me to purchase a vehicle, the friendliest people that have not seen in a long time. I recommend the dealership to everyone

Bought new in 03. Has a club cab with 3.9L engine. Always started and got me home. No serious problems.
Replaced water pump, serpentine belt, ball joints and wheel bearings at 100k. Best truck I've owned over 45 years of driving.
I was looking for a car for my daughter and didn't want to spend a lot, but wanted her to be in something to keep her and the kids safe. Jerry and the crew found me something nice and affordable.

Bought 99 xlt 4x4 in 2015. I live in Iowa. I do a lot of hunting and wood hauling. So I use the 4x4 a lot. I pull a 5x8x3 trailer when wood cutting and load the truck and trailer down heavy. She grunts a little but enough power there to get it done. Only been stuck in the snow once due to clearance and have tested it's yanking power pulling bigger vehicles out that were in there pretty good. It's supposed me. I've replaced minimal parts. Gas tank was the biggest chore. Standard rust out. Biggest engine problem to diagnose was the fuel filter. Engine knocks like a diesel engine but has plenty of power and keeps on ticking. Change oil every 5k or close to it. Plenty of cab room and leg room. Maintenance has been minimal I guess. Would buy another if the deal was right. Current mileage 186kish. It's due for some bigger maintenance now. Front end parts kit brakes rotors all around and rear seals. Not bad for a truck that's seen a lot more gravel roads than hiways. Rust is average. Rocker panels and starting on the front of box. It's been a good truck.
Purchased used for $1500 to using as a fishing truck about a decade ago, but we can’t kill it! About to roll 200,000 miles and haven’t spent a dime on anything more than routine maintenance. Heater is weak, A/C is strong, and the seats are as comfortable as any truck. The V-6 isn’t strong but gets respectable fuel mileage. Best served with a manual transmission.
I don't even know where to start
Bad credit, little down..I went on line and looked at their website never dreaming I could get financed. Jacob Sweeney was amazing he got me into a better vehicle than what I was looking at. I didn't have a vehicle so I did everything via email and text. When it was time for me to sign paperwork they sent a driver to pick me up . I love an hour away from the dealership. Met with Steve in finance signed all the paperwork and drove my car home.
If you need a good vehicle I recommend you go see them.
I can't say enough about how awesome they are

Overall great experience, only concern is:
• Rust underneath.
• SRS Bag Light On, random no accidents.
Single owner, purchased new 2010 to present (2023) under 40k miles.
The staff was very friendly and willing to stay late to allow us time to purchase a truck. We knew which one we wanted but my husband's work schedule didn't allow us to be there to purchase the vehicle during their "open" hours. Ed and the office staff stayed late for us. They helped us through the process very quickly! We were in and out in 40 minutes! And they were willing to work with us on the price. Best car buying experience we have had...EVER!

Truck needs rear main seal, oil pan seal, oil sending unit, all new gas lines and gas pump and left wheel bearing. Total 3600.00 bucks. It drives very nice with a rebuilt engine and new brake lines. Thing is when it gets this old with 220,000 miles all the seals go bad eventually. 5.3 vortec is amazing. Not sure how reliable the tranny is. Rust is prevalent for it’s in Minnesota Country. But not terrible with no rust trough. I’m getting this truck for free. So putting $$ into it to fix.
I BOUGHT A BMW 7 SERIES. THIS IS A REAL NICE CAR. I WOULD RECOMMEND ZACS AUTO SALES TO EVERYONE!!!

I've purchased a number of cars from George at East Coast Auto Source over the years. I would recommend the following if you're looking at buying a salvage/repairable vehicle: 1) Choose your Auto Body mechanic FIRST prior to going to purchase a vehicle that is salvage/repairable and pay him for his time even if you DON"T BUY. Paying him $100.00 for his time might save you thousands of dollars in the long run. Take him with you to look at the vehicle you are interest in. A mechanic can identify hidden damage and cost that you as a buyer can not identify. 2) Get an estimate on parts from George (or any other salvage yard) as this is added cost to what you are actually paying for the vehicle. 3) Get a time frame on repairs from your mechanic: example: is his shop out 3 months on repairs? six months on repairs?
4) Add the cost of the vehicle, parts, repairs and time to fix and compare this amount of money and time to the same model vehicle that a dealership or private owner has for sale and analyze if the repair of the salvage vehicle is worth it....sometimes it is: sometimes it's not.
I've never had any trouble getting titles, bill of sale, or vehicles shipped upon purchase, etc from George. As indicated, have some knowledge of salvage repairable vehicles and get estimates up front and your repair experience will be much better.

He didn't know better so I get to it with a dolly and he just jumped in and started trying to crank but the battery die so he got the jumper box jumped it I heard it run and said I thought you said it was a good truck he said yea it is you know she said it sat 3 years full of fluid and I said nooooooooo needless to say it got Maintenance when I took the hoses off to flush out everything and it came out like clay from a muddy Mountain side and and a 1 inch square was all that was left where the blade would be but that was 5 and a half years ago I got it with 109000 mile original it's 178 original now I recently changed my timing belt recently it was cracked I went ahead and changed the tensioner too and now the timing is a little advanced but if I put it in 5th gear or drive on the interstate good luck keeping it under 85 or 90
I see where a lot of people are commenting on the dealership not getting back in touch with you. I have to say that's a completely different experience that I had.
I sent them a message about 3 in the morning. Before 11:00 a.m. that same day they had already reached out with a phone call and an email. The car that I was inquiring about why is that one of the brands largest motor in it so I wasn't interested in buying it after talking to that.
The person I spoke with was very polite understood what I was looking for. He even asked if they come across something like that but with the engine that I want would I like a call back. I told them absolutely who knows it could be a month from now and I still have it found what I'm looking for. I just thought that was pretty nice of them.
Also I don't know anybody at this dealership none of my family or friends work there. I know sometimes people think if you write a nice reply where there is mostly negative that it's the dealership having friends and family post these comments. That absolutely is not me. I just believe if I'm quick enough to leave a negative review I should be just as quick as to leave a positive review.
They are listening I can say is what I believe might be happening is that people might not be leaving their phone number. I honestly don't know if that is it or not.

I have a 2005
dakota that I purchased new. I love it. 18 years of owning it. I have had very few issues. I use for hauling and recently I have been using it for highway driving. It just works. It's nothing fancy in fact it's kind of utilitarian. But I does everything I need it to do. I do maintain it well. but I have only had minor issues. The fuel mileage is not great but it's a truck.
I bought my F 150 Lariet new in September 2008. It has been a good truck. I have a problem with what the dealer says is a fan behind the dashboard. When using A/C or fan control I get an annoying rattle from the dash. The dealer quotes $1,500. For repairs. This is outrageous. I can't believe I am the only owner with this issue. Should maybe be under recall?
