My husband and I were in a bad car accident 2 months ago and my car was totaled. It's been a rough few weeks of hospital stays, wound care and emotional labor so taking on a car search was not something I was particularly excited to do. I walked into the City VW of Evanston dealership early in my search process to look at a used Tiguan and really liked it and had a great experience with the salesman Frank. I wanted to check out a few other options before making a decision, so I left and now I realize I wasted a lot of time and frustration when I did that! After visiting 3 other VW dealerships and experiencing some incredibly shady salespeople, I decided it was time to go back to my hometown dealership. Frank and Marcus were amazing. With all of the medical bills piling up, we were trying to stay within a certain price range and the two of them worked tirelessly to make the deal happen without making it feel like a torturous process. Once we reached an agreement, Manny was so helpful and walked me through all of the paperwork explaining everything clearly. Jeromy was well informed on the Forster model I was interested in and very helpful. Muller Subaru had a good inventory and the Forester Premium with Option Parkage 15 had all the key safety features that I wanted. I had such a great experience at the Volkswagen dealership! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and welcoming. Juan was the first to assist me, and he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He later transitioned me to Alex, and let me tell you—Alex was phenomenal! He walked me through everything with patience and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. There was also a young lady who helped explain everything clearly (I wish I remembered her name!)—she was amazing too. On top of that, the General Manager, Tim, even came out to introduce himself to us the very first time we stopped by just to look. That small gesture made a big impression and showed how professional and kind the entire team is. I’m truly happy to be part of the Volkswagen family and I absolutely love my car! Bought a new Kia Seltos from Boucher Kia, and the sales and management folks with whom we dealth throughout the process were always respectful and as helpful as they could be. Did experience two significant frustrations, neither of which appears to be the fault of the dealership. The first was a 6+ month wait for the Seltos we ordered to be delivered. This kind of delay is on Kia, more than the dealership, so I don't fault them. The second frustration was that the 2WD version of the Seltos we ordered is apparently not something Kia gets a lot of orders for and thus is not something they want to produce very many of. The car Kia produced to fill our order and sent to the dealer was the 4WD version of what we ordered. The dealership apologized and gave us a discount off the higher 4WD price, but again the core problem was with the company. If Kia doesn't want to sell a 2WD version of this Seltos trim, their website should not offer it as an option. That said, so far we really like our new Seltos, and we give the Boucher dealership credit for working with us.
