Devan Petit was the person who took care of my car April 4, 2025. The job was brakes and oil housing leak. The brakes were easy bu the oil leak was a rather difficult job. My car wasn't going to get done and it was the weekend. Lia was out of loaner cars. But Devan went above and beyond to get me a loaner car, so I wouldn't be without a car for the weekend. My car was ready to go on Monday. I have used Lia VW of Enfield for all my car care needs and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this dealership.

Kyriaki Kazalis (Keri) is the absolute best sales advocate in the car industry. She hand selected the absolute perfect first car for my son. We had some hiccups with the DMV that Keri and the Lia team were so patient and accommodating towards. I bought a 2013 VW CC Sport from them. I am from Binghamton, NY & this car was located at their showroom in Hartford, CT. I saw this car?s listing online and immediately liked it but wanted to test drive the vehicle before putting down my money. I had arranged for my own finance so needed the purchase order for this vehicle. They agreed to give me the purchase order if I put a refundable deposit of $500 on my credit card. I agreed to that. So I put my paper work in order and drove down with a friend on Saturday to their showroom. The condition of the vehicle was good just like I had imagined from the pictures. I took a test drive. The gentleman who was with us on the deal was knowledgeable & helpful. I noticed that above the front passenger headliner there was some black smear. I pointed out this to the salesman & he took care of it immediately. Also the engine bay & the underside of the vehicle looked dirty as if it was not washed so they gave the car a complete rewash before I left. I was unclear on how I would be able to register a CT dealer plate vehicle in NY State. I was told that I would be getting NY plates which I did. Only place where the dealer needs to improve is communication. I had no clue what was going on with my registration & upon calling/emailing I just got the answer that ?A third party company is taking care of it?. This is my first car in this country and it should not be assumed by dealer that everyone knows the process of buying a car over here. It is nice to maintain some transparency during paper work as I am paying for that service as well. Now I got the plates from DMW NY however I never got the title for my car. Upon asking the dealer, they say they mailed the title directly to my finance company and it?s normal. Here?s the thing, my friend got his car a week later mine, went through the same finance company as mine and he got his title from the dealer (different car dealer). He just made sure he added the finance company name as a lien holder on his car?s title & mailed a copy for their record.

Let me start with this: I did not go into this VW before it was overtaken by the Gengras brand, so I cannot compare it to what it once was. However, what I can say is I walked in one day, thinking about buying a new vehicle, and the next week I had the Atlas of my dreams, all thanks to Tom, the GM, and Dom, the sales person. My girlfriend and I went in to get a bigger car as our family had grown, and the Atlas - with its safety ratings, gas mileage, size, and style - was 1 of 2 choices for us (the 2nd being a Telluride, but the service at our local Hyundai was TERRIBLE, and it turned out to be too small). We walked in on a Saturday hoping to test drive one and size it out for our dogs (when I said family, did you think I meant kids?). They were very short staffed - only 2 salespersons were on that day, when they usually have 4 or 5, but due to the recent buyout some of the people had left to other Crowley locations. We were assigned Dom, who was helping another customer, and we said it was fine and would wait. Tom, the GM, said no way and had us sit down and he went over everything about the Atlas - ratings, size, reviews, pricing, and options/packages. When Dom was ready for us, the Atlas we were to test drive was ready to be taken out on the road for both of us to drive around town and on the highway. It was love at first handle and honestly, thanks to our experience at this VW, we are never driving a different brand and will be buying my girlfriend her own VW next winter. I can agree that there are several pictures of the new owners around the building - but you know what? That's called branding, and if they are happy with how their smiles look, posters of themselves do not hurt customers and they show that they put their image on any action that occurs in the store, which is honestly comforting if you are worried about customer service. When you do go in - which you should - talk to the people helping you out just as much as they do with you. We learned that Tom and his wife are avid wild mushroom hunters (really cool stories!) and Dom is hilarious with "dad jokes" and puns for everything. As someone who has purchased a vehicle from this locations, I have not received one email in the last month from them so I do not know of any spam emails. But I also have gmail - and it sorts out spam for me - so maybe it's in there and I just use technology to the best of its abilities.

I would like to commend Sales and Leasing Consultant Tylon ("Ty") Curry and Valenti Volkswagen of Hartford, CT. As a recent college graduate, I worked with Ty on the purchase of my first car: a certified used 2017 Volkswagen Alltrack. Now several months since purchase, I continue to be very happy with this car. Ty Curry and everyone at Valenti provided the highest level of service and attention. I would be happy to return to Ty for my future vehicle needs. He was personable and friendly, while being very professional. I've decided to do this because of exceptional level of help and service I received at Gengras Volkswagen in Plainville CT from sales manages Tom Backer and salesman Brian Radicki. Both Tom and Brian were professional in every sense of the word. They tool the time to listen and understand my needs and the type of car I wanted. They were extremely patient and helpful. This experience purchasing a new car and trading in my old one has been the fastest, easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. Everything discussed in advance for the purchase of my new GTI - done completely over the phone and email due to COVID - including pricing, fees, trade in allowance, etc was exactly what I expected from those discussions.  I worked with Tom Backer and Chrissy Sansabrino and they were both fantastic in all aspects.  There wasn't a single "surprise" or hiccup in the process and it made the experience the best.
