My criteria for a car was simple.... all wheel drive, manual transmission, and good performance. I've owned a number of got hatches but I'll go the distance and say this is my favorite. It drives like yours expect a German car should.... well mannered, quiet, planted, and reasonably quick. Interior is excellent and honestly I can say that domestic cars have a LONG way to go before they hit this quality. Really looking forward to having this car for years to come.

Had mine since new 88,000 fun miles on it. superby reliable. Fantastic handling, comfort for long long long drive 6 hours, and great MPG...super quick, it really does everything excellently. Out of 17+ VWs since 1987 this is the best one yet...fun personified, tracks at speed perfectly, solid grip in all weather conditions. Solid, tight, really well done car. Interior layout is ergonomic excellence. of course 6 speed manual, it's best, control and in connection with the drive.

Several weeks ago, I was looking at a certified 2021 X6 on your lot. A salesman happened by and I asked him about it. He introduced himself as Chris Lee, with a nice firm handshake, and began to impress me with how much he knew about this car amongst literally hundreds of used cars on your lot. He offered to pull up a sales sheet with all the pertinent information and then offered to let me test drive it. I was amazed at how much technology was incorporated into this vehicle but Chris kept showing me one cool feature after another. It was as if he had owned the car himself. Needless to say, he sold me on the car. As it was already late on a Saturday evening I tried to put a deposit on the car but was advised that the dealership doesn't honor deposits - that cars are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. So I arranged to come in the next Monday afternoon to purchase it. Unfortunately, it had already sold and, naturally, I was quite disappointed. Chris instead focused my attention on the new X3's and virtually "jumped through hoops" showing me many different X3's in various color combinations of exteriors/interiors. Due to his expertise on these vehicles, much like his knowledge of the X6, I was soon ready to purchase a brand new X3 from your dealership's in-house stock. Had an unforeseen situation not arisen involving my son working for a competitive automobile group, I would have signed a purchase agreement with Chris that afternoon. From this experience, the thought occurred to me that if all of Principal BMW of San Antonio's salespeople were as efficient and knowledgeable of the BMW product line as Chris Lee, you all (with the exception of your excellent service staff) could just go home. I purchased the 2020 MK7.5. I have been driving it for close to 12 months. There was minor niggles such as a blown fuse, the hlove box hinge detaching, right side mirror needing replacing because of a non functioning blind spot light. Other than that I had no reliability issues....Yet. Yes... The car is quick but not super quick, as some have stated but instead some what boring, because hardly anyone will take it on at the lights. lol It is compfortable and quality is good. You get a lot of car, hence the price. Still fahr more affordable than an Audi S3 with less power. Adding a a cutback sport system that utilises the oem flaps and an APR stage 1 ECU and DSG tube made this car even more enjoyable. Given all that, the fuel economy remained the same. I would not hesitate recommending the MK7.5 over the previous Golf R and even the MK 8. I think it is the better car out of all of them.

The best combination of AWD 4-door hot hatch with 6-SP manual. Rear 0-100% torque vectoring is a huge technical advancement. Powerful and economical 313 HP 4-cylinder. The Golf R is a true sleeper. M2 performance in. a low-key wrapper.

I've owned this vehicle 2019-2023 (and counting). I'm 70yrs old and can say this is the best car I've ever owned. Performance, comfort and styling are 5.0. Most in my age group don't understand the Golf R until they get to drive it.

My husband and I bought an Audi A5 last September and absolutely love it. Yesterday we needed to get some different floor mats. All I can say is everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The only "compromise" with this vehicle is it is smaller than most other vehicles on the road here in the US. The Golf R will have you quicker than 99% while getting 30 mpg. Fold the rear seats down put just about anything in the car with you. When you get done hauling stuff around, take it to the race track. When you get done lapping all the cars that were carried to the track, in a trailer, park it in your driveway. If you think this vehicle is an all climate, all season commuter vehicle, you are right. No need to rush the purchase. Drive a dozen, at least. This car, in my opinion, has no real compromises. My advice is , to not compromise color, wheel style, low/high milage, a scratch/dent or anything you may see yourself considering as important to you.

Great experience. I called to check on a 2021 Ram Limited that they had listed. I was driving 8 hours to see it, they confirmed it was in stock and we made an appointment for the next morning. They had it ready when I arrived. It was as described. I knew what my Jeep Wrangler was worth so it didn’t take long to agree on a deal. Cobra Rhodes was the sales person and I also worked with the general manager Josh Osborne. Both were great to work with. I was only there 90 minutes and left with my new to me truck. I had been looking over the eastern half of the country and this was the best deal that I found. The only hiccup was that it took longer than expected to receive the title. They used a third party title company that didn’t completely the paperwork for several weeks. After I contacted Southwest about it, they did everything they could to resolver it quickly.

Fast, efficient, near luxury interior. Comfortable, agile nimble. 19” rims 235/35/19 continentals. Black leather interior. Premium Finder 9 speaker stereo system. What more can I say. Oh wait, did I mention all wheel drive. That too.

The Golf R is an amazing vehicle. 300hp, all wheel drive, active suspension, European quality (the Rs are made in Germany). More than I expected or hoped for when I bought. The only issue I have is slight wind noise at the drivers door in some wind conditions.

This car has available adaptive suspension which makes the ride smooth when you want it, and stiff when you need it. The all-wheel-drive system is seamless and does not significantly impact the fuel economy due to its automatic front bias when the rear wheels are not needed. Handling is very good, and the electronics are top-notch in the class.

Caesar was a great help on the car buying process (first time by myself haha). He let me drive the car and get a good feel for it for a couple hours and even past their closing time. Haven't really heard of other dealerships do this, so it was a nice gesture from him! I felt no pressure during the entire process and we worked out a good deal on my allroad! I know RRMw will keep me in good hands with this car and hopefully I'll pick up another Audi or maybe even a Porsche in the future!

I have owned this 2016 Golf R manual since December, 2015. My previous car was a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, a great hot hatch in it's own right. Right away I knew I had to tune the Golf R to make it feel faster than the Speed 3. APR Stage 1 accomplished that in spades. Not satisfied, I went Stage 2 which made the car absolutely bonkers (I did have to upgrade the clutch to a Southbend Stage 3 racing clutch). I have had three years on the Stage 2 and have had zero problems with it. Unrelated issues have included rear differential oil leak, window switch modulation, and misfiring due to bad plugs and coils. All except the latter were fixed under warranty. There is also a problem with the backlighting of the speedo/tach/fuel/coolant temp gauge that hasn't been fixed but other displays are fine. The car at just under 54K miles remains a blast to drive and very easy to live with.

I owned a 2019 Golf R and recently traded for a new 2024 Golf R. My 2019 was a 6 speed manual, but I’ve finally gave in and bought the 2024 with the automatic. I always loved shifting, but getting a little older so thought it was time. Love my Golf R……GolfR comes with all the options I’d ever want standard, so, the price may seem high, hit you get everything you probably want standard, no options required .

Owned my 2024 Golf R Manual Transmission since October 2023. Traded in a 2018 Mustang GT Manual with all the bells and whistles except a security package. The only thing I miss is the Coyote wail, otherwise the Golf is more fun to drive, with short gearing for quick jumps off the line with its AWD traction and good push in your back in top gear at highway speeds, and a simple drop into 4th for truly impressive hole shots that surprise the unsuspecting motorists stereotyping your car as a typical econobox. The only drawback with the short gearing is hitting the 6500 rpm rev limiter sooner than you expect. It has luxury car pretensions with all its features for the money, ride and NVH, including an adaptive suspension with truly noticeable variance in its range of settings; and it is more refined with better build quality than the Mustang with a more usable backseat and cargo area to boot. The torque vectoring rear differential provides noticeable performance when hitting the gas coming out of turns. The HK audio is a little tinny for my ears compared to an Acura ELS system two cars ago (2010 TL). So far, I have witnessed software glitches with the cornering lighting system and the steering wheel button controls failing intermittently, hoping the dealer will be able to duplicate and address the problems before the warranty runs out (compared to no warranty or other failure issues with the Ford over 6 years). Many people call a $47K Golf ridiculously priced; but I'd say they really don't understand and are judging it by its 2-box design aesthetics. You are getting engine, steering, and sport differential similar (if not the exact same) as what's used in 2.0T Porsche Macans and Audi SQ5s for thousands less, with an MT option; more refined than GR Corrolla, more features than Subaru WRX, and torque vectoring AWD superior to more expensive Acura Integra Type S and similar price to Civic R, which are both fwd only. No regrets yet with some cautious optimism the minor glitches don't turn into the full blown stereotypical VW electrical issues for which they can be known.

The Golf R is really a very unique and individualistic car - 'hot hatch' does not really fit as a descriptor as the 'R' is a much more mature and capable car. The car's ultra-high performance is complimented by excellent road handling thanks to AWD and the torque vectoring rear axle (A system only available in the much more expensive Audi RS3). Some commentators have griped at the price approx. 45K (Without Dealer 'Premiums') - however, as stated, this is a much more mature package that contains almost every option know to man! Head Up Display, Napa leather heated and cooled front seats/heated rear seats, Harman Kardon sound system, Automatically operating IQ lights, etc. etc. The true beauty of the R is that it can be driven as an extremely civilized everyday commuter, or you can unleash its inner demons with fantastically satisfying results! Some critics have commented negatively about the infotainment system and the lack of knobs - I am 66 and have found the system incredibly intuitive and intelligent to use - a little patience never goes amiss! Ultimately, this is a superb performance car that delivers in so many ways - it is mature, precise and measured - an amazing car! No, its not a hot hatch in the traditional sense - it is a car that is far more than that!

I never really LOVE the vehicles I choose, but this one I truly love! I am very happy with my whole experience, they even filled my gas tank, a little gesture that goes a long way. I love it because I can make it go 500bhp and 0-60 in 3.51 S. Which is fast !!! and also looks amazing and all I need to enjoy life.
