Despite the scary looking recalls my 2023 AWD Pro-s model has been 99.9% reliable. In comparison to my previous 2021 ID.4 pro-s which had several annoying system failures that necessitated immediate trips to the dealership. However the 2021 pro-s has the folding mirror option which I had expected to get in the 2023 pro-s but was very dissatisfied to learn it had been remover and put in the ‘+’ package. The mirror option should be offered as a standalone upgrade to all non ‘+’ 2023 and 2024 models as no $50k plus car should be without it.

This car has been, without a doubt, the best vehicle I've ever owned. From its reliable performance to its comfortable interior, every aspect of this car has exceeded my expectations. The engine is powerful yet fuel-efficient, making long drives both enjoyable and economical. The handling is smooth, and the ride quality is superb, even on rough roads.

I highly reccomend Platt Auto! The switch from a gas vehicle to an electric vehicle has a learning curve but the folks at Platt Auto are very service and education oriented. I was indecisive as to which level of car I wanted and tested their 7-Day no-questions-asked return guarantee more than once(!!!) and they didn't mind at all! They gave me an excellent trade-in value for my gas car. And when I had an issue with a tire and called them to ask about it and they simply replaced them for me as part of their service guarantee! I felt no pressure from them and they were so helpful. Buying a used car in the past, I've had negative experiences, I got none of that here. They have a wide selection of electric cars and accessories at great prices, many of their vehicles still have factory warranties left on them. They have a comfortable waiting room with toys and kids movies too. Please go see them if you're even considering the switch to an electric vehicle.

2023 VW ID.4 PRO S. 1 year this July of 24, 16000 miles. Before the latest software update of 3.1 or 3.5 we could the full state of charge was 300 Miles. After the update, the max SOC dropped to 253. But many software problems were fix. The 12V battery is stronger than the 2021 (they were updated later). Fast charge to 80% is 35 minutes or less. I charge at home in Arizona we have solar with SUNRUN. We installed a 50amp this provides us with using WALLBOX 11kw so for example, today Apr 8, 2024. to charge at home from 18% SOC to 80% took rounding up 3 hours. Not bad. March Electicy bill was $40. No expense for fuel and money saved.

I've purchased several VWs over the years. This purchase was the absolute BEST ever!! Deb was FABULOUS to work with. A truly wonderful sales woman. I found the car online, negotiated everything over the phone and took a 5 hour train ride to pick it up. The car was EXACTLY as promised. Price was super fair. Financing was a silky smooth. I never even thought about an electric vehicle I did not think I could afford it so I went to the dealership and they had the ID for xxxxxx2021 for a deal that I could afford. I took it. I must say I love this car and a lot of ways it’s very comfortable. It looks great. It’s well made it is fun there are a few things I don’t like the cap where you plug-in the electric fell off and the driver side vent. My biggest issue with this car is the range it irks me to end it says 260 mile range I get you’re probably never get that but I’d like to get close. The most this car has ever got is 205 miles average about 189 to 200 mile range and this is not acceptable. I am in sales 250 mile range is great but to get less than 200 is not acceptable. Specially, over the car is this expensive. The color I love but underneath the door that panel gets very dull very quickly. It is also stressful because there’s not enough rapid chargers in Los Angeles. Part of the reason is I cannot have a charger at my apartment, so I have to struggle and try to find a rapid charger and there’s not enough of those around. Accommodate everyone. The infrastructure is building more level two chargers, which we don’t need. We need rapid chargers. I seen people almost fight overcharging stations. If I had to do this over again, I would’ve not bought this car at this time because of the lack of the charging stations but I actually do love it and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to gasoline again.

We came into the dealership a bit frustrated by another experience that went badly. Nate was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process and we ended up buying a new car because of this interaction.

We love this car! Comfortable, simple, quick. It even has a back massager on both seats! So far it has been all we could have wanted.
