New car 9/2017: odometer now at 65000 miles. No issues at all since new. Fuelly.com calculates 40.5 MPG in 30/70 highway/city driving. 5 speed manual transmission has excellent synchros - and with a very light clutch engagement plus short throw gear changes - this 2017 1.4 turbo is fun to drive.

Never owned a diesel, but very easy to get accustomed to. The Jetta is very comfortable and gets great gas mileage 45mpg. Jetta also has performance if you need or want it. Overall this car has turned me into a VW enthusiast.

The car buying experience can be intimidating-particularly for women. My teenage daughter and I highly recommend working with Brendan in Sales, Manny in Finance, and Marcus as the Sales Manager. No mansplaining! They were all receptive to our questions and patient. The entire experience was a wonderful learning opportunity for my teenager and me, for that matter!
