After all of the paperwork had been completed, and we took that beautiful car home, we realized that maybe we should have opted for the automatic transmission, as opposed to the standard transmission which we initially decided upon, purely due to economics. We thought for sure that we may be stuck with a gorgeous car, yet one that neither one of us felt totally comfortable driving (honestly, I couldn't even get it into first gear, bleh!). I immediately reconnected with Barry Grimm via Chris, and between the two of them and Yanni, all of our problems were resolved within minutes. It's a medium-sized SUV. It's not a Porsche, Audi or MB. It is comfortable, reliable, the size and capacity I sought. In two years I've put on ~24K miles and absolutely no problems. My wife is handicapped and uses a walker. She thought the car was comfortable and we made two round trips from Hartford, CT to Key West. In the last 60 years We've had a Beetle, Passat, and a VW Bus that carried our family of four and 2 Dachshunds aacross the country and back to Connecticut - Twice!

I really love the feel and comfort of this vehicle. It serves my family of 4 well. I am the 2nd owner at 13,000 miles. Only issue so far is the oil consumption. After only driving the car 600 miles after my first oil change, check oil light came on. It was a qt. low. I am now in the process of getting it checked at my local VW dealer. Will update on outcome.
