i fell in love with this car when i shifted from 1st to 2nd gear. vw 1st real sports car. drives,feels like a million bucks. normal driving to spirited driving, the car is 100% rewarding. handling is flat footed and confident, very secure. the acceleration with the vr6 engine is kool aide smile inducing and the exhaust sound intoxicating. interior is snug,comfortable and personal. very good gas mileage as long as you dont drive faster than 60mph, after that it's chug chug chug. beautiful car all around. a true classic.

I got it for $750 for my 15th birthday. it was 1973 Volkswagen SuperBeetle (upgraded McPherson Suspension, different trims etc) I spend next five year rebuild the beetle and engine. it was my favorite car to work on everything was so easy to work on and parts are ready available all over the world.

Well...Truth be told, I love this car. I am partial and biased. That being said, read at your own risk. It's positively adorable. Considering its age, it runs pretty darn well. I can honestly say that in the 6 years that I've owned it, I never had to fix a mechanical issue with the engine. She was a disaster on the outside (body)but has been thoroughly restored. Now I'm passing the torch. Whoever buys this gem has to update the interior. Keep me in mind when it's been done and send some pictures.

Called in need of a price to install a kit of cables for my wife's EOS. After several failed attempts and unreturned calls i reached Vince M late on a friday. he took the time to understand what i needed. Turns out Berge doesn't do this type of service on the convertible top but he assured me they had someone nearby who does all their work. as it was late in the day the other business was closed and Vince promised to follow up and call me with a price monday morning. I had been looking at C3 Corvette's for almost 2 years and I finally found my 1979 Corvette with Glass T Tops and a 4-speed manual transmission and a very clean interior and very clean interior. Drives better than any vw I ever owned even at hwy speeds up to 80mph; the conv top goes down very simple.the stereo sound excellent is Bluetooth and cd with 4 speakers and 1000 watt amp

No heat. No gas gauge & me R/L challenged so I never knew when I flipped the floor lever if it was the reserve tank or the reg. tank. We crammed 9 people into her a few times & drove around for a weekend everywhere.Carburetor problems resolved with a stick tied to keep it open to suck air. Got over 30 mpg! Raced a 55 Chev from a stop-Beat him! My brother got his license 2 yrs later & borrowed & rolled her! All 4 got out safe! Body flat, chassis fine. New body from junkyard & somehow MY car became HIS. LOL!

professional..however a lot of the cars they are selling don't run or need extensive work..it makes me feel the ads are a bit deceptive..not disclosing that info upfront..I wouldn't have wasted my time pursuing these vehicles
