in the base trim, you get a good competent vehicle for a very good price. I needed reliable and comfortable family transportation, and this vehicle fits the bill. Very practical and variable, and comfy enough to run road trips of over 800 miles / day. Handling and drive is alright, considering we're talking about a people carrier here.

This van has not been sold in the US since 2003, but its legend lives on. The back folds down comfortably to a bed, and you can even keep the folding table out and level with a little adjustment. You could literally live in this car, as long as you had a place to use the bathroom. We have two children. This vehicle has an extra middle seat so each child could take a friend camping. Kids stayed in yurts while the parents slept like kings in the soft pop up camper. Such fun. We never used the camping equipment so it is all like a brand new vehicle. 6 people can easily camp with two in the camper. I almost hate to sell it but the kids have outgrown camping now. This vehicle gave us so many great family memories, and has hundreds of thousands of miles left for someone else to enjoy.

The VW Routan is a very reliable family van with a really great look. Very comfortable riding and pleasant to drive. Very good in fuel efficiency and the on board entertainment features(like 3 screens DVD players) are awesome.

Volkswagen Van is quite noisy and also expensive. Engine make noise like rumble. I do not like sound van make, but is ok in every other way. Hit 200,000 miles and still work good. Engine noise bother me. Only other problem is head light no work anymore so I have to fix.

Checks all the boxes. A must-have vehicle for business and pleasure. Fits the whole family and is a ton of fun to drive. Can seat 7 people and handles a 4 x 8-ft. sheet of building material in the back. A winner!

For the Van Life, the Eurovan had it all: voluminous space, a pullout bed, stowaway table, blackout curtains, tinted windows, moonroof, powerful Audi VR6 engine and rock solid driving pleasure.
