Used Volvo S60 sedans for sale near Wayland, MA

I can’t say enough about this dealership and it’s owner. I’ve been searching for a nice affordable luxury car with low mileage and all of the Bells and whistles with no success. I would get to the dealership and experience bait and switch, undisclosed imperfections, astronomical fees, and dealers looking to only finance in order to make more money on the back end. What a nightmare. Luckily, I found Phillip on cars.com. He was upfront and VERY honest about everything. He treated me like a family member and gave me the car that I Needed, wanted and could afford with no added fees. He went above and beyond with my plates and getting the car ready in less than 24 hours for me. I will DEFINITELY use him again for an electric/hybrid SUV and recommend him to my friends and family. Btw, my mom loved him and she is The MOST skeptical person I know!

The main problem with my 2911 s60 Volvo is: not very good on mpg; also, my 2001 Toyota Echo was a fantastic car but winter rusted out the car by 2023, I like my Volvo; it just so complicated so I only use one radio station and try to forget all the fancy gadgets since I'm older and I need to concentrated on driving safely. My Toyota Echo got 52 1/2 mpg. I think my Volvo gets just 12-14 mpg.

From beginning to end, the experience of contacting them for initial questions and then buying the car (a Mini Cooper) was excellent. Ali was helpful and easy-going. No pressure. He had everything ready for me quickly and kept in good communication. I would buy another car from them without hesitation.

This car's reaching it's tenth birthday in the coming year, and has definitely earned itself a good reputation in reliability, to a point. Had to have the engine rebuilt at around 100k due to a recognized flaw where the seals around the pistons (one, in my case) would shave off the side of the inner piston chamber wall. Volvo was good about it, and rebuilt it for free, but I have heard about this being an issue with a percentage (although a small percentage) of 2015 S60's. If you own a 2015.5 S60, you should be okay (released at the half-year, they changed something in their engine design so this no longer happens). The 2015 model I own is a T-5 Drive-E, but even then the engines feel strong, and the acceleration is amazing given the engine downgrade for better mileage. Pros - Smooth, quiet, fast ride - Platinum package still makes this car shine given how far infotainment systems have come in 9 years - Takes 87 gas - Cold-oriented heating options. I lived in New Hampshire most of my life, and this thing took snow and ice like a champ. Good to know Volvo durability hasn't disappeared. Never failed to start, and the electric defrost option was a Godsend. - iPod/iPhone USB slot. Honestly wish this was in modern cars. You can play music from your iPhone (or iPod if you're a person of culture) as soon as you can hook it up to the charging port. Also charges your phone. Neutrals - Nav system. Pretty basic, but once you get good with the voice commands, is amazing. Other than that you have to put in addresses with one of the DIALS on the dashboard, which is lower than T9 typing. - Auto Climate setting. This is just more goofy than anything. You'll press it thinking it will slowly acclimate based on outside temps and engine warm-up and all sorts of things. No, it hilariously just turns your AC on max. Not even mad, its just super funny to think about. Cons - Start/Stop button. I don't care how much gas I "save", when you turn an engine off and on in any instance, you're wearing down parts faster. - No oil dipstick. Have to rely on electronically checking it, which has shown me close to max for the last few months, which I doubt. - Backseat legroom. It's not horrible if you're used to small sedans, and especially if you're used to super compact cars. - Turn radius. Holy crap do not invest in this car if you like parking somewhere (well) in a single turn. This thing parks like a grizzly bear with a saddle on it---mostly forwards and backs. Maybe I just prioritize good parking too much, but I don't like looking like that one guy in the Walmart parking lot who's content with 45 degree angles. The backup cam makes this not as much of an issue. All in all, a promising Volvo. Lacks the issues of the newer models, while looking pretty modern. If possible, I'd suggest trying to find a trim level higher than the default, but any trim level will be reliable. My biggest takeaway and suggestion for this would be to regularly maintain it. Get your oil changed regularly, keep your engine bay clean, invest in high-quality tires, and don't put 93 ethanol gas in for fun. It should last you as long as it did me.

I have owned my 2013 S60 T6 AWD for a little over 2 years now and it is an exceptional car. The looks, the power, the handling, all around a very solid and capable vehicle. I have taken it on several road trips and every mile is a joy to drive - I have not had any serious issues and have just done regular maintenance. Would highly recommend the 3.0 T6 AWD S60 if you can find one!

I love this car; it feels solid like a tank and goes like a missile on the freeway. Cons: no spare tire, small back seat, not fun in parking lots. Pros: handling, power, style, highway mileage good, comfort Tips: Drive in “sport mode”, use cruise control for good mileage on long trips. Replace Michelins ($900) with Sumitomo ($500) when replacing tires.

I was impressed when entering that the lobby presented a clean and pleasant appearance. After I drove my vehicle into the service garage a friendly professional service representative directed me to a customer service representative. The customer service representative immediately pulled my service request for review. It was immediately apparent Mr. Colin A. is very knowledgeable of Volvo automobile technology and repair procedures. Additionally, Mr. A. has excellent client communication; my questions were answered quickly and with a clear, understandably explanation. Later in the day, Mr. Ayers contacted me to recommend that the Volvo's tires be rotated. He, again, explained in detail why he made this recommendation. This is an example of the level of detail inspection that Herb Chambers Volvo conducts when servicing your vehicle.

Had a 2014 Honda Sport and decided I to try a luxury car that wouldn't break the budget, so bought the cheapest used Volvo S60. It's great. It's extremely comfortable (with very adjustable seats), the sound system is outstanding, it handles turns really well, is nice and quiet, is really nice looking without being flashy, and it's touchscreen features are very easy to use especially with voice control. I live in a city, so one reason I chose it is because I read that Volvo's are not popular among thieves. Another reason I chose it is that my two friends who have Volvo's (XC models) swear by them, and one is 6'4" with a bad back.

We recently made an unplanned purchase of new 2020 XC90 at Danvers Volvo and the team there is a pleasure to work with. We have bought/leased 6 previous Volvo's and this experience at Danvers is by far the best we have ever had. The sales team was patient with us as we reviewed options, costs, etc... and then expedited the paperwork for financing and registration so we could head quickly home to NY. I highly recommend this team if you're looking for a Volvo.

I had the best buying experience at Volvo Village of Danvers MA. The 2 salespeople I worked with Michelle and Jasmin(Jazz) were outstanding and a pleasure to work with Michelle went to incredible lengths to put me in touch with the car I was interested in. She answered all of my questions about costs, discounts, etc... and validated all of my concerns especially with the available financing options. Jazz was able to transfer all the information needed to make an absolutely incredible deal. I loved my conversations with Michelle and the stress free signing of the paperwork with Jazz. Their bringing the car to NH for registration was quick and easy and also a another great part of the car buying experience. After a string of frustrations with one dealer I walked away and then approached Boston Volvo instead. From my first email contact, Boston Volvo’s Nelson Duarte was helpful, prompt, and communicated with me exactly how I needed to be reached throughout the process. I am limited to text and email communication throughout usual business hours. Despite the hurdles and asynchronous nature of email and text, Nelson met me where I was, answered all my questions, and provided great service. Beyond Nelson I was/am highly satisfied with my Boston Volvo experience. Within 24 hours I was able to survey Boston Volvo’s inventory online, find the car nearest my desired purchase, contact Boston Volvo with my interest, received prompt response, found answers to all my questions via email and text through the day on a Friday, arranged a purchase price, trade in, financing, and later installation of desired options and then on Saturday morning I picked up the car with a 5 year-old in tow. Ultimately I was given a better set of options in purchasing the vehicle I wanted, and I felt so much more satisfied with the terms! I was impressed with the service culture at Boston Volvo and pleased to see the staff worked together so well. I know Nelson and the sales manager were very coordinated in helping me get to a set of options that made my purchase possible. The culture of the staff was evident from my first arrival 15 min past close on a Friday when an associate interrupted his own departure for the evening to address me in the parking lot and make sure I was being helped, then notified Nelson for me who was also delaying his Friday evening departure to help me with my purchase. When I picked up the car on Saturday morning Nelson was welcoming to my 5 year old who was with me as well. While preparing the car and processing paperwork the front desk attendant was warm and hospitable to my daughter and me. My daughter loves looking at cars and we were encouraged to walk the upstairs showroom. My daughter had a blast and loved the older model Volvos on display and getting in and out of the XC40s and wagons up there as well. Admittedly though she may have enjoyed the elevator the most. The finance manager, Jose, was friendly and patient in walking me through all the details of my purchase, and in explaining, multiple times, all the nuances of the protection packages on offer. The Monday after pick up, Nelson picked up the car at my house to have one of the options installed and returned it to later that day. Josh and Josh were great in the interactions I had with them, friendly and no pressure whatsoever. I felt they had some limitations on the knowledge of the recharge vehicle that they will get better at I'm sure over time since it is a new product. There was some minor confusion in finance with the loan rate, initially it was disclosed by the financer at 0.99 during our meeting, then it went up to 1.99 (0.99 was noted as a mistake initially) which is where I was told was the actual rate and was what I financed, but then the next day it was noted on the website back down to 0.99 where it still is today, so that felt a little uncomfortable. The extended warranty options were a bit confusing as there were additional aftermarket protections offered in addition to the 10 year 125,000 mile product that was purchased. If there was a 10 year product with less mileage I would have been more happy with that as I don't drive many miles, but it was not suggested. Overall delivery was efficient and comfortable. The volvo car website has great information. The volvo on call app is still very rudimentary and a work in progress. But I am very happy with my vehicle.

After needing to replace my Infiniti Q40, I landed on the stylish Volvo S60. Coming from a 350bhp sports sedan, the S60 feels more like a smooth touring sedan rather than a performance machine—it’s a different breed, a more refined one. Comfort & Space At 6'1" and 240lbs, head clearance and shoulder width are non-negotiable for me when choosing a car. Many options, like the BMW 3 Series (which made me hit my head on entry/exit) and the Toyota Camry (too narrow in the shoulders), didn’t make the cut. The S60, however, offers ample leg and shoulder room, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. Performance The S60 is quick and smooth. My Infiniti was undeniably fast, and while the Volvo doesn’t compare in raw power, I never feel underwhelmed. It’s got enough pep to confidently pass traffic, and—based on experience—it’ll leave an X3 or X5 behind at the merge lane. 😄 Interior & Features The cabin design is sleek, luxurious, and built with high-quality materials. Everything feels solid, and the cupholders fit two large Owala or Yeti containers—something my Infiniti couldn’t manage. However, storage space is lacking; there’s no dedicated sunglass holder, and finding good spots for keys and wallets isn't ideal. Fuel Efficiency Fuel economy is impressive. Even with a heavy foot, I easily get 25mpg mixed, thanks to the mild hybrid setup. The power assist eliminates turbo lag, making acceleration smooth and responsive—while you won’t rival a true sports sedan, you won’t feel sluggish either. Driving Experience & Safety Highway cruising is effortless, and overtaking slow drivers is no problem. The self-driving functionality is excellent—on par with Subaru's Eyesight system, which outperforms Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota, and GM in my experience. Tech & Infotainment The Android Auto Operating System is sleek, and voice commands with "Hey Google" respond quickly. Google Maps, climate controls, and music apps like XM and Spotify work seamlessly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t cooperate with Waze or some other apps, which is disappointing. Apple CarPlay is available, but oddly, Android Auto isn't—a baffling omission. Supposedly, an update is already available, but my car won't update ITA so it requires a service center visit, so I’ll find out in about 9,000 miles when I take it in. A few frustrations: - No split-screen on the entertainment console—you must choose between the map or the radio, not both. - The gorgeous dash display will either show Google Maps with navigation or… nothing. Seems like a missed opportunity. - Heated seats aren’t standard, even in the Plus model. This car comes with a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and air purification, yet somehow, no heated seats? - The phone app for remote start is quick and easy, but you can’t adjust climate settings, which is frustrating. Final thoughts: Overall, I really like this car—it’s smooth, comfortable, stylish, and incredibly safe. The price is competitive, making it more affordable than some standard sedans. Sadly, 2025 will be its last production year in the U.S., but since the engine and drivetrain match the V60 and XC60—and the model remains available overseas—parts availability shouldn’t be a concern.
