Used Volvo XC90 for sale near Old Tappan, NJ

I never thought i would be writing a positive review about a car dealership after being burned in the past, however my experience here at glen cove volvo has been nothing short of great. Jehovani is a great worker who doesnt try to scam or bs customers with any shady antics. I appreciate his honesty and service towards my sale. Although, i did buy an Acura from a volvo dealer, im pretty confident in my purchase and the smooth transaction from the dealer reassured me even more.

I truly can not say enough good things about my new 2022 Volvo XC90 T6. I have admired the Volvo SUVs from afar as a minivan mom for 15 years and this was my year to make the move. No turning back; it is sporty, classy, comfortable, safe, I could go on forever. Classic black and dark brown interior. The info center takes a bit to get used to and it seems like there are features everywhere so definitely just hop on you tube to figure them all out at your own pace because the sales person will tell you, but no way you can get them all down. One of my ultimate favorites are the rotating fog lights. As you turn the lights turn with your vehicle. Lane assist is not for me; I've been driving too long to have it as it seems overbearing. 360 camera and all of the warnings are great though because you never know who is barreling down through the parking lot. Narrowed it to the 2023 Honda Pilot and 2022 MDX Technology; got tired of waiting on the Pilot and frankly it was a bit too big and the MDX just didn't have the sporty look I wanted. I feel like with the Volvo I got it all!

They Took Care of Us My husband and I can't say enough kind things about Volvo Cars Glen Cove. The entire team (sales, service, finance, and management) went above and beyond to help us bring home our certified pre-owned vehicle. Our story is, in many ways, out of the ordinary. We live out of state and found our dream Volvo on their website by chance. The sales associate (Jonathan) was responsive and energized. He even hosted a video call where he showed us the car in detail. When an issue came up with the vehicle after we had flown to NYC to pick it up, Kristin Hendrick, personally assisted us and made what could have been a difficult situation easy to understand. Her kindness and willingness to help was extraordinary. The service department was prompt and helpful and Deron in Finance was a pleasure to work with--answering questions about our new warranty and out-of-state registration. Volvo Cars Glen Cove took care of us and we would do business with them again.

We were looking for a luxury SUV that handled well and looked great. This was the best SUV that we ever purchased! It is high off the ground and handles well on the highway and in the city. Torque and hp are excellent and the car is whisper quiet on the road. The interior is very luxurious and the leather is soft and comfortable.

This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

At a different Volvo dealership, my car was sitting waiting for service from the 13th. Prestige Volvo kept giving me extended wait times despite me calling to get a rough lead time before getting my car towed there. On the 29th I ran out of patience. Smythe and a few other Volvo dealerships have told me that they can see it on the same day or next if I get it towed there. I've had a good experience at Smythe with my old 99 S80, so I chose them. My car was seen the same day. The difference in service was night and day. I received a digital sign off on the work to be done, along with a video of things to look out for. I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile, I would probably still be waiting around for my car to be seen at the other dealership. I don't know what their issue was, and it no longer matters. I won't be back there ever. On September 18, 2023, I purchased a new 2024 Volvo and am happy that I chose to do business with Patrick Volvo in Schaumburg, Illinois. Patrick Volvo is fortunate to have Belen on their staff because she is an excellent representative for their dealership. There is no question that when I need another Volvo, I will most definitely contact Belen. It was my pleasure that I had the opportunity to do business with her. My husband and I have owned Volvos exclusively for the last 35 years. We've been dealing with the Glen Cove dealership in the past 4 1/2 years and found the service to be excellent. It appears that post-COVID there has been a great deal to be desired. That being said the new manager, Vito, has been informative, patient and most willing to answer my questions and resolve the challenges that this dealership has faced. I am confident that he will be the person to bring back the dealership to its place of excellence.

Never had any major problems with the car. Mostly software problems but they were quickly fixed with a restart/reset of the system. The ride is bery comfortable and on long drives a pleasure to sit it. The place this car has is huge and every passenger has largly enough space. The car is slightly underpowered for such a heavy tank (only 235PS) but is still enough to have a comfortable ride (low RPMs) on the highway. I average 37-33mpg which gives me about 700 miles of range and if you’re not in a hurry and drive about 50-60mph you can even go up to 900 miles on the highway (I drive the mild-hybrid). I feel also safe driving it, thanks to all the assistants it has and the safety-history.

Bought New, firsts 80,000 mile on the highway to NC, San Antonio, New Orleans, Memphis. Like being in my living room lazy boy. Sturdy ride. No major problems. Maintenance on schedule. On my second set of tires. Second set brakes. It's a highway vehicle for sure. Quick precise steering. It's a keeper so far. Two minor repairs. Brake pedal sensor. Can't remember the other thing.

I am extremely happy with the maintenance service and the sales department especially Mr Stacy Hopson. I have bring leasing my cars ever since 2016 and I have been very satisfied satisfied with the entire dealership.

Gorgeous inside and out and brilliantly designed. This car purrs when you accelerate. Not only is it the safest car on the road, its luxurious and fun to drive.

Can't say enough about Kyle and the overall experience at Smythe. We had just come off a horrific experience at another dealer (two bad experiences, actually). We were so turned off. But we found this beautiful Audi at Smythe and decided to give it another go. My wife stopped in and met Kyle. He was terrific from the start. All she did was want to see it before the two of us went back. There was no pressure, no "sales-pitch" or anything. Just a nice guy who listened to my wife and her auto buying needs. We went back that night, test drove the car, talked with Kyle (again, "talked", no pressure). He took the time to answer to every question we had and explained everything in detail. It was more of a conversation than a sales transaction. We explained what we were looking for, in terms of deal (money down, monthly payment, etc.). Kyle introduced us to Abood, helped us explain exactly what we were looking for and we were told "No problem. We hear you and will do our best. If it doesn't turn out to be the deal you are looking for, no worries, but we'll call you in the morning." Next day, my wife got the call and the deal we talked about the night before was they deal made happen. No sweat, no stress, no anxiety. We walked in later that afternoon. Car was prepped, big red bow on it, papers ready to sign, and my wife as out of there in under an hour. THANK YOU Kyle, Abood, William (our delivery specialist) and everyone at Smythe. THIS PLACE is our new and only place to go for a car and we will tell everyone!

My wife and I spent about two hours with Dennis Romero earlier this week test driving an XC 60 and reviewing options. Mr. Romero has a wonderfully soft and knowledgeable presentation style. We did not feel pressured at all, which had been a concern going in. My wife has not yet decided whether or not to replace her existing vehicle but if -- or rather when -- we will be going back to Dennis.

Picked up a Hyundai from Magic Auto Sales and worked with Mat throughout the whole thing. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. He was super down to earth, never made me feel like I was being sold to ,just really helpful and straightforward. Answered everything I threw at him and gave me the space to think things over without pressure. The car’s been solid and exactly what I needed. I’ve been to many dealerships during my car search, Fast Track has easily been the best experience even though I didn’t find the car for me: • Ramon is a genuinely good guy, big heart, no pressure • Best test drive experience ever (you’ll see what I mean) • cars super clean • every dealer adds on an addtion charge. Fast Track’s added rate was the lowest of the 8 dealerships I have been to • I was skeptical of the positive reviews. The look of the place isn’t impressive, but the way they run their business is an outlier compared to other dealerships I worked with

Volvo is known for safety and this one delivers with all the latest safety features. But it also adds performance with a combination of supercharging for power off the line, with turbocharging to add power in mid range. Together they deliver performance similar to a V8 with a lot better mpg. The interior is very modern and tasteful. Seats very comfortable. We opted for the air suspension system which really makes a difference in our area with rough roads. I'd recommend it to anyone. Also added the high performance sound system from Bowers and Wilkins. I did not think I wanted to pay up for it, but once I heard it I couldn't pass it up. Many great tech features like Pilot Assist (auto drive), cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, auto park, etc. Recommend the T6 level powertrain, the Air Suspension, and if you can swing it, the Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

I went to speedway to purchase a car for my daughter. I had a great experience. The salesman was very helpful in making the process super easy from A-Z. My daughter loves her bmw. It’s beautiful and drives great.

This car is nothing short of superb. A pleasure to drive and gives you the feeling of complete safety. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in purchasing one.

It’s a great family or single person car. It’s got 3rd row seating for extra room, but not to big like Escalade when trying to find parking in Seattle area. It’s fully loaded with features for most comfort. Heated seats front and back, cooling front seats, DVD player, navigation, roof rack, extra trunk space, and its great on mileage for V8. Perfect for NW winter or summer fun.

Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

T6 106k miles, replaced Brake pads, spark plugs, and one to engine mount. Everything works! Amazing auto pilot up to 80mph lifetime avg 21.3 MPG mixed driving, regular gas! Quiet, blast T6, super comfortable seats, active safety! I cant think of anything better. Stay away from T5
