My partner wanted me to get a vehicle that availed itself of all the current self-driving and safety technologies currently on offer, and after much research, this is car I landed own. And the XC40 did not disappoint. I'm approaching my first year of ownership and comfortably say it is the best vehicle I've ever owned. With near seamless adaptable cruise control making multiple long-haul road trips as effortless as driving across town, my Volvo makes me want to drive it anywhere. Stylistically, it's a bit frustrating to now see every car on the road racing to copy its black-roof aggression, but I still get looks from folks who want to know if "that's a Volvo?" Of particular note is how the interior eschewed the trend of tacking on a giant tablet screen, opting instead for a generous dash-embedded interface that is comprehensive, intuitive and instantly responsive. I also love the app-driven features like remote start and customer temperature. The reputation for reliability is well-earned and validated. In summary, the prospect of this car one day needing to be replaced fills me with anxiety because I want to drive it forever. Well done, Volve.

Great commuter car. Adaptive cruise control is better than most. Good mpg. Very attractive. Agile and good is small spaces ( city driving ). Base sound system should have more power.

I purchased my car March 31 2024, and it has been the best car buying experience of my life!! I had visited another car dealership (Toyota) prior to coming to Sheehey Springfield. I am so glad I stopped that day!! Shabir Baba was so helpful, gave me lots of info, no hard sale, and showed me the bells and whistles on my new car. Shabir made it happen for me-the sale-no hard sale, very helpful, thoughtful and friendly. He asked questions to see what type of vehicle would suit me, (I chose the mid level imprezza sport). He Pointed out options to add (for service, extended contracts etc) if I wanted. Pointed out all the safety features. Boy have cars changed over the last 15 years! Everyone at Sheehey was great, from the manager to finance. I highly recommend this dealership, and especially Shabir!

Head Light control can not be seen on the column at night. Stock tires were horrible. I switched to yokohama's. The rims design in terrible. There is a space behind the spokes which allows for dirt and brake dust to build up. Difficult to give a finished look when detailing. Plus I can't use the GPS. NOT convenient to communicate with. Engine noise is disturbing. Biggest thing is the TPM. Would prefer it to actually read the psi of each tire. Raises your anxiety not knowing the true pressure.

The service advisor on the day I went in was Luis. He was attentive and responsive to my questions about my car as well as my car?s needs that I didn?t know it needed. He was kind and respectful. I have yet to experience service from all the other advisors, but they were all friendly when I walked into the service area and saw some sitting at their desks.

Salesman Steve Pevenstein is very responsive, this is a huge benefit for customers. His video mesaages are fun to watch. But if you want to do an internet deal finalize negotiation remotely, his management insisted I come in to get a final price, so this dealer did not get my business. Another dealer worked out a below MSRP deal and we are doing it all remotely, I only come to the dealer to pick up the car. I bought 2 Toyotas this way already, once from Warrenton Toyota and another from Bill Page.

When I went into Sport Honda to look at a 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid I didn't think that I would walk out with a new car. My salesman, Nathan Gelaye did such a great job introducing me to the car and he gave me such a great deal that I bought the car on the spot. There was no pressuren involved in my deciding to buy this car. Nathan even spent several hours going to another dealership to trade a car from Sport Honda for the color that I wanted and then he brought the car to my house. I had never bought a car before and only heard horrible things about how awful the process of car buying can be. However, this was NOT my experience with Ourisman Honda of Laurel!! We had a great experience at DARCARS Volvo in Fairfax. I reached out to confirm the availability of one of the used cars and Tim, the manager, quickly responded. We made an appointment for the next day and the car was out front ready for us. Tim referred us to Lonnell, who was very personable and straight forward. We were happy with the car and settled with their finance manager. Not huge space, but very comfortable and nice layout inside.

It is simple in design but makes up for it in amenities and performance. It is grossly over powered. It has a simplistic design and the tech is very simple and easy to maneuver. Over all it was the best option for an EV with the ones on the market up to 2024 for price and performance.

Bea is courteous, personable, and answered all our questions (or checked with other DarCars staff for us). She responded quickly to emails and made our experience pleasant. This is my first all-electric car. Bea and her colleague, Manny, showed me all the car's features and spent time helping me understand the electronics. This car's reaching it's tenth birthday in the coming year, and has definitely earned itself a good reputation in reliability, to a point. Had to have the engine rebuilt at around 100k due to a recognized flaw where the seals around the pistons (one, in my case) would shave off the side of the inner piston chamber wall. Volvo was good about it, and rebuilt it for free, but I have heard about this being an issue with a percentage (although a small percentage) of 2015 S60's. If you own a 2015.5 S60, you should be okay (released at the half-year, they changed something in their engine design so this no longer happens). The 2015 model I own is a T-5 Drive-E, but even then the engines feel strong, and the acceleration is amazing given the engine downgrade for better mileage. Pros - Smooth, quiet, fast ride - Platinum package still makes this car shine given how far infotainment systems have come in 9 years - Takes 87 gas - Cold-oriented heating options. I lived in New Hampshire most of my life, and this thing took snow and ice like a champ. Good to know Volvo durability hasn't disappeared. Never failed to start, and the electric defrost option was a Godsend. - iPod/iPhone USB slot. Honestly wish this was in modern cars. You can play music from your iPhone (or iPod if you're a person of culture) as soon as you can hook it up to the charging port. Also charges your phone. Neutrals - Nav system. Pretty basic, but once you get good with the voice commands, is amazing. Other than that you have to put in addresses with one of the DIALS on the dashboard, which is lower than T9 typing. - Auto Climate setting. This is just more goofy than anything. You'll press it thinking it will slowly acclimate based on outside temps and engine warm-up and all sorts of things. No, it hilariously just turns your AC on max. Not even mad, its just super funny to think about. Cons - Start/Stop button. I don't care how much gas I "save", when you turn an engine off and on in any instance, you're wearing down parts faster. - No oil dipstick. Have to rely on electronically checking it, which has shown me close to max for the last few months, which I doubt. - Backseat legroom. It's not horrible if you're used to small sedans, and especially if you're used to super compact cars. - Turn radius. Holy crap do not invest in this car if you like parking somewhere (well) in a single turn. This thing parks like a grizzly bear with a saddle on it---mostly forwards and backs. Maybe I just prioritize good parking too much, but I don't like looking like that one guy in the Walmart parking lot who's content with 45 degree angles. The backup cam makes this not as much of an issue. All in all, a promising Volvo. Lacks the issues of the newer models, while looking pretty modern. If possible, I'd suggest trying to find a trim level higher than the default, but any trim level will be reliable. My biggest takeaway and suggestion for this would be to regularly maintain it. Get your oil changed regularly, keep your engine bay clean, invest in high-quality tires, and don't put 93 ethanol gas in for fun. It should last you as long as it did me.

Try the T8/Recharge Model. My 22 has averaged 90 mpg over my first 3000 miles. Has plenty of oomph when needed too, would definitely recommend.

This is my 3rd S60 and my 4th Volvo. I keep trying others, this time I test drove the Audi S5, and the Alfa Romeo Giula, but went back to the S60 once more. My wife drive the XC90. WE are definitely Volvo loyalist.

I can't say enough good things about Sales Manager Ramon Hart, Sales Executive Lamont Jefferson, and Finance Manager Melleny Hobbs and the Ourisman Honda team - their responsiveness, professionalism, and integrity. Working with them, we bought our CR-V on line - they kept and exceeded every promise they made - sent the necessary documentation quickly - and then Lamont even delivered the car to us at our home ( about an hour away from the dealership) and took the time to show us all of the features. And we got a great deal on the car, which was exactly what we wanted, too. Couldn't have been easier and hassle free - great, encouraging experience - and it was buying a car! Everything about working with Ramon, Lamont and Melleny was terrific, the interaction way ahead of the other Honda dealerships we talked with ( among those, one wanting about $2K more for the car, another insisting we come to the dealership). Attractive styling both exterior and interior (for me). Bought a 2021 T-5 R design with Polestar enhanced performance package. It has been trouble free so far and handles and performs very well for a compact SUV. routine service dept. with Volvo has been excellent. Seats are comfortable and the interior space is surprisingly roomy. It took a little bit to get use to the tech, but I was coming from a Tundra, so it was to be expected. The only thing that is subpar is the Navigation system, but I understand that they have now contracted with google maps to provide this service. AWD makes me not worry about the weather. Terrific all around car!
