I have currently owned this car for over 6 months and have really enjoyed this 2000 Volvo S40. I purchased it with 98k miles for $2300 and put in some work with the help of my mechanic partner (oil change, replace a fuse in the dash, battery replaced, and timing belt change). It has been so reliable and safe during 2 minor fender benders, with nothing more than a tiny scratch both times! I am a professional nanny so I am always taking the kids around to where they need to be, it's not very spacious for twins in booster seats with and 8 year old in between - and for the purpose that I am needing more space I am going to need to upgrade to a mid size vehicle quickly! I love that this car makes me feel safe, has great handling, and is so dependable!

You don't take the car with you, the car brings you, you sit in the chair, not on it. First two gears are short, which confuse people behind you, expecting to be faster away at traffic lights. But from 3rd gear on it just goes. Its like sailing a ship, tiny bit waggly but smooooooth. I own a D5, it's my second home.

Bought it 5 years ago for €3K,246000 kilometres on odometer, 13 years in Northern climate(heater is good! ) , installed aftermarket audio system(€3,5K).During 5 years replaced all shocks and coil springs,upper strut insulators, oxygen sensors, front lower control arm front bushings(I recommend use polyurethane, this car really eats regular front lower control arm front bushings)+few other things and regular maintenance(liquids, filters etc.). Now it has 291000 kilometres on odometer and its technically in order. Worst enemy is winter, then is lot of salt and I drive in urban area so in the summer I have to do little bit corrosion protection. Ride is OK, seats are pretty comfy. For that money it's pretty good car and repairs are not too expensive. Manual transmission(it's better for the winter and gives overall more control in my opinion).

I bought the 2006 S60 in 2015 for $4200 with 96000 miles on it. I have had it now for close to 7 years. I have put 36000 miles on it. It still looks close to new on the inside and outside. Interior is very comfortable with top class leather seats. I have had to do no major repairs. Just changed the oil every 5000 miles. Good performance too. I got a very comfortable and pretty high quality sedan for a low price and got a lot of miles out of it. I think it will run another ten years, no problem.

We in the family own two Volvos,one of them is 940 and the other one is 144 .Both cars are amazing.We recommand Volvo More people are calling the Volvo 940 a tank!

Very happy with the XC90. Finding more reasons to like it every time I drive it. Car feels solid and safe. Stepping on the gas gives it a fast start off the line. Purchases it pre-owned,brakes chattered a little. So soon after had both brakes done, now it stopes beautifully, no noise, no vereing, no problems. My last vehicle was a Honda CRV. The hood is bigger and took some getting used to. I was not crazy about spending 81 dollars to fill up and top off the tank. But I am still on the first tank(little less than 1/2 a tank left) I never thought I would ever be able to afford or drive a Volvo in my life time,but I am! Living the dream!
