This is my first Volvo and although it took a while to get familiar with the controls, I love it! The side and rearview mirrors, warning sounds and lights have taken care of blind spots that are usual in a larger SUV, and have prevented accidents. The ride is still so smooth after 3 years, I can easily read a book on long trips. The front and rear seat adjustments allow everyone to be comfortable. We are glad for the bumper to bumper 5 year coverage we bought at purchase, and they immediately fixed any minor problems we've had over the last 3 years.

This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

Volvo is known for safety and this one delivers with all the latest safety features. But it also adds performance with a combination of supercharging for power off the line, with turbocharging to add power in mid range. Together they deliver performance similar to a V8 with a lot better mpg. The interior is very modern and tasteful. Seats very comfortable. We opted for the air suspension system which really makes a difference in our area with rough roads. I'd recommend it to anyone. Also added the high performance sound system from Bowers and Wilkins. I did not think I wanted to pay up for it, but once I heard it I couldn't pass it up. Many great tech features like Pilot Assist (auto drive), cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, auto park, etc. Recommend the T6 level powertrain, the Air Suspension, and if you can swing it, the Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

T6 106k miles, replaced Brake pads, spark plugs, and one to engine mount. Everything works! Amazing auto pilot up to 80mph lifetime avg 21.3 MPG mixed driving, regular gas! Quiet, blast T6, super comfortable seats, active safety! I cant think of anything better. Stay away from T5

My partner wanted me to get a vehicle that availed itself of all the current self-driving and safety technologies currently on offer, and after much research, this is car I landed own. And the XC40 did not disappoint. I'm approaching my first year of ownership and comfortably say it is the best vehicle I've ever owned. With near seamless adaptable cruise control making multiple long-haul road trips as effortless as driving across town, my Volvo makes me want to drive it anywhere. Stylistically, it's a bit frustrating to now see every car on the road racing to copy its black-roof aggression, but I still get looks from folks who want to know if "that's a Volvo?" Of particular note is how the interior eschewed the trend of tacking on a giant tablet screen, opting instead for a generous dash-embedded interface that is comprehensive, intuitive and instantly responsive. I also love the app-driven features like remote start and customer temperature. The reputation for reliability is well-earned and validated. In summary, the prospect of this car one day needing to be replaced fills me with anxiety because I want to drive it forever. Well done, Volve.

This is my second Volvo C70, the last one I bought is the T5 Polestar Engineered with only 35.000 miles on the counter. The first C70 I swapped with my Mustang convertible. This is the best car I have ever driven! Every time we go to France the holiday starts with the beginning of the journey! It drives smooth, not the fastest car but just enough and it cruises likes it's made for it!

Before buying used, have an independent mechanic check it over. I had a bad experience with the dealer with several expensive issues shortly after my purchase. Brakes, alignment/tires, shock and steering wheel electronics (voice command, radio). The steering wheel electronics problem is common.

Recently purchased a 2022 Silverado from Sunrise Chevrolet. This is my 3rd S60 and my 4th Volvo. I keep trying others, this time I test drove the Audi S5, and the Alfa Romeo Giula, but went back to the S60 once more. My wife drive the XC90. WE are definitely Volvo loyalist.

I was reluctant on buying another S60 as my previous 2012 model had engine issues that led to engine failure at just 120,000 miles. However, with the 2017 model having a new engine and transmission setup, I decided to give it another shot. At 115,000 miles I haven’t experienced any mechanical issues of any sort. The performance is pretty great for the small 2.0 liter engine pumping 240 hp which pairs pretty well with the 8 speed automatic transmission sourced from Toyota. The interior is very beautiful with the real leather seats, however for 2017 it was definitely starting to age. The exterior design is absolutely immaculate, however at 7 years old it has started to experience paint chips leading to minor rust. I wouldn’t 100% blame the paint as rocks and road debris also contributed to this. The comfort in the seats is very amazing, however it’s not perfect as the cabin noise is louder than most other luxury cars. Overall I love this car and have been very pleased with its improved reliability.

I had a great experience working with Vantage. Mr. Herzog and Mr.Caesar really set me up with a nice classic Ford pickup truck, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased my 2004 S80 used with 128,000 miles hoping it would last me a couple of years. That was in 2013 and it is still going strong with a few little old age quirks. The fabric is starting to pull away from the front passenger pillar by the windshield. The leather seats are worn, which is expected after 20 years of daily use. When the temperature is 35 degrees or lower it is stubborn starting, However, once it does (2nd to 3rd attempt) everything is good. I am slightly under 200k (197,779). Upkeep and repairs have included: Regular maintenance Replacement of 5 cylinders, although not at the same time. New radiator due to road construction mishap. (hit a good size pot-hole). Side mirror cover replacement because of theft. The S80 was not what I was looking for in 2013. The price was great and I took a chance. I am so glad I did. The car is not garage kept and there are not faded areas at all.

We were looking for a used car for our daughter and went through the tedious process of calling every lead we saw and driving to numerous dealers. Dealer after dealer told us stories of how perfect the cars were until we took them to a mechanic to find serious issues that were never disclosed. Frustrating to say the least. Then my husband came across a vehicle at Faraj and spoke with Mark. He had a great feeling about the car and the place....and literally sent me a text "I think we found our car" (before I even saw the car!) I went to see the car in personal immediately and was so impressed with everything I saw and heard from Mark and his co-worker Zee. Both were so professional, honest and trustworthy which was so refreshing based on what we had recently experienced. And to top things off...the car was pretty awesome too! It was exactly what we were looking for. There were a few things that need fixing and Mark did everything to make us happy and satisfied...within the time frame he promised. The attention to detail and follow up was so appreciated. Once the paperwork was signed, we left feeling like we had a safe car for our daughter at a fair price from a very reliable dealer. This vehicle is the ultimate combination of safety, luxury, style, and functionality. Every feature is clearly well thought out and engineered to be highly functional and comfortable with the only exception being the rear door locks. If you have a child who may have been blessed with an extra dash of spice, as my child once was, this feature could be a nightmare. On the rear doors there is a lock button feature which prohibits the rear doors from being opened from outside of the vehicle. Imagine going to the dentist with a defiant 5 year old who has figured out what that button does. That single odd feature aside, this car is a dream to drive. I traveled 7 hours through 4 states from the dealership to my home as this was the only dealership that has my dream car available and purchasing sight unseen was not appealing to me. Any long distance trip in the past has required stopping to stretch and walk to ease back pain every 90 to 120 minutes at the maximum and would still result in extreme back pain the next day. Not in this car. Seven hours. Two quick stops of five minutes or less to use restroom facilities and I was back on the road. I didn’t hurt. That was the best drive of my life. The seats are so perfectly ergonomically engineered that you are completely supported and comfortable. The dash features are equally impressive and the massive amount of technology at your fingertips is astonishingly user friendly. The car is also equipped with sun shades on both rear passenger windows as well as the rear view window. The rear view window is push button controlled from the driver console and the three screens used together provide an optimal shaded environment for tech use and children. The vehicle is perfect for my family of three as well as my commuter vehicle and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Volvo family. I’ll never own anything but in the future.

I saw a car that I was interested in and called the dealership, Smythe Volvo in Summmit. I spoke to a salesmen, Jesus Garcia. I drove to the dealership to see and test drive the care. Jesus was very accommodating. His warm and kind nature made it easy and comfortable in deciding on the car. When we got back to the office I gave an offer and it was excepted. I’ve owned my 2014 Volvo S60 T5 since late 2022 (roughly 2 years) and here’s my experience so far: Pros: -Superior safety; Volvo prides itself with fantastic safety ratings and constantly keeps the latest safety standards in mind when designing restraints and airbags. -Outstanding comfort; Hands down, most comfortable seats that I’ve sat in. Warmer weather oriented and has heated seats all around, heated windshield, and heated mirrors as standard. Suspension is butter smooth and interior is quiet with good tires. -Stylish Interior and Exterior; interior is luxurious and uses high quality materials. Entertainment features are tilted slightly towards driver and allow you to make decisions and hit buttons without having to look away from the road. Post-face lift model looks fantastic and eye catching and looks much better than the pre-face lift models in my opinion. The body panels feel sturdy and well built. -Performance and Fuel Economy; great performance and fuel economy for its class. I usually get around 17-19 city and 29-32 highway. It offers good economy for families and business workers that get to work via the highway. It can absolutely get up and move when you ask it to and can comfortably go 90-100+ with no issues. Cons: -Below average handling; the handling leaves a bit to be desired for the 2WD models. Definitely has quite a bit of understeer in the corners. It’s can also be a bit daunting to park due to its larger size. -Transmission bugs; the transmission is usually fairly smooth but tends to jolt when downshifting and when starting from a rest. From what I understand this is a common problem with Aisin transmissions of this era and can be fixed with a software update from Volvo. -Interior space; as with most sedans, the rear seats leave room to be desired. Most passengers will struggle with leg room. Trunk space is fine for airport trips, grocery runs, and light road tripping but is unsuitable for most moving and heavy lifting jobs. The Ugly: -Reliability; although this car has never broken down, left me stranded, or even had as much of a check engine light, the biggest killer is the oil consumption problem.This can cause a range of silent killers that usually don’t show up until they are catastrophic. The inline-5 engine in particular is greatly affected and is due to the lower oil control ring on the pistons to become clogged. This usually leads to the engine burning about a quart every 1K miles. This is not an easy fix and will require an engine rebuild. Volvo may offer an extended warranty for this problem but without a perfectly documented service record this service costs $5K. -Not DIY friendly (sometimes); for an at home mechanic, some tasks can be quite difficult to accomplish without special tools from Volvo. Standard issues like oil changes, brakes, and lights are easily accessible and straightforward to accomplish. More complicated issues such as suspension maintenance, coolant services, accessory belt maintenance, and problems related to the turbo can be difficult considering the complex nature of the car. Maintenance manuals are near impossible to find for free, however Volvo does offer a (pricey) subscription service to their in shop maintenance software. In summary, the 2014 Volvo S60 is a fantastic car for a competent car enthusiast who knows how to work on cars. Maintenance tends to be on the heavy side and weekly oil level checks are a MUST. This car is definitely not for anyone who doesn’t know much about cars or for someone who knows a trusty mechanic. It’s sporty, comfortable, reliable and safe if you know what you’re getting yourself into. Hope this helps!
