Of the many different driver-assistance features that the Carnival MPV SX Prestige comes installed with, one of the most useful is the Blind View Monitor.⁴ Every vehicle has blind spots, and a common way to solve this issue is to have an alert system. The Kia Carnival MPV has that alert system, but it goes even further with an actual monitor for your blind spot. This comes in handy especially when you utilize the Carnival MPV’s 3,500-pound towing capacity by towing a trailer.⁵
When a turn signal is activated, the Blind View Monitor will present the driver with a live video of the MPV’s blind spot inside the 12.3-inch Supervision Meter Cluster LCD display. This gives you a clear view of a spot around the vehicle you wouldn’t otherwise be able to see easily. This is possible thanks to a side-mirror-mounted camera. It’s just one other way Kia has upped the ante with its Carnival MPV.
