My husband initially gave a lot of pushback when I told him this was "the car for me". His car broke down just before a planned long-distance trip, so he had to take his turn behind the wheel of my Subaru. Every wife loves to hear " You were right"! Good car minus reliability
Bought the premium 2.5i, car is about the biggest I would get. Comfortable ride although the shocks are certainly underdamped where it bounces 1.5 times after going over a bump (only has 45k miles on it). Acceleration... is not a priority. Best and system I have ever owned though, had a lancer awc and this awd + underdamped suspension is amazing on the snow. Unfortunately the reliability Is something I would question. Wheel bearing at 23k, 2 cv joints at 36, engine guzzles oil but needs to guzzle a quart every 6k in order to fail consumption test, alignment is perfect but getting uneven tire wear possibly due to bad ball joints. I hope Subaru steps their game back up, they used to be amazing but I now have a '19 Impreza so we will see. - Purchased a New car

I love the car, but minor problems show up after 4
I'm not gonna talk about the good side, the car overall is great comparing to all other cars in that price range. however in 3 and half years this happened 1- the touch in the screen doesnt work (probably because i park it in the sun for long time), replacement costs 3000$ 2- water pump broke and mixed the transmission oil with water, now they're changing the entire gearbox 3- boil joint problem 4- stabilizer link problem however i still love the car, most of the above are to be replaced with warranty - Purchased a New car
