Nobody talks about the fun.
Purchased a 2015 with 23,000 miles for under $9000. The car is brand new. The battery warranty is 8 years and 100,000 miles. Super cheap to run. But nobody talks about what a hoot it is to drive. It's probably not politically correct but this little car is a blast to drive. The stiffer suspension and quick steering make it feel like a gocart, only this gocart has 327 ftlbs of torque. Everyone that's taken a ride wants one. The only let down are the tires. - Purchased a Used car

Good city car
A good value for charge. Super easy to get around. Compact size is perfect for city parking. Make sure you get the fast charging provisions if you do not plan to charge at home every night. - Purchased a Used car

Great
Love this car. Mileage is fantastic and I downsized and find size is just right for me at this stage of my life, not to small. - Purchased a New car

Very reliable and fun to drive. Great performance.
Great car for a retiree that runs around and does errands. Had a gas spark before and this one fixes all downsides of that. The best value of all EV's. - Purchased a New car

Fun and Easy To Drive, But At a Cost
The Spark EV is a great little car for getting around town. I used it on my daily commute and for running errands, and it never let me down. My only - and biggest - complaint is the mileage. The Spark EV is advertised as getting 82 miles per charge, but I rarely got over 70. It left me stranded on the side of the road twice; each time was the same story: I would have just enough range to get to a charging station, and as I drove, the remaining mileage would go lower and lower until, all of a sudden, I was halfway to my destination and the car was out of charge. The on-board range estimate isn't nearly as accurate as a gas vehicle, and this led to several sticky situations. I wanted to love this car, but the fact that I was always anxious about "running out of gas" kept me from enjoying it. - Purchased a Used car

What a deal
Bought a 2016 Chevy Spark Ev with 13,650 miles from a car dealership in Oregon. Just looking at pictures and texting the dealer. Was going to borrow the money from the bank, they thought I was nuts( so did the wife). I got the car two weeks ago. I just took the money out of my savings and paid for the car. I drive four miles to work. If I do any errands, I might have to charge the car, once a week. It sure is nice to not have to put gas in. I got the car for under $9000. Where are you going to find a 3 yr old car with 13,600 miles for that price? There are plenty of these cars coming off of their leases. They are out there. If you need a third car or grocery getter, I don't think you will be disappointed. It cost roughly $.02/mile to run. It has a 8yr/100,000 mile warranty from gm on battery. In conclusion, the wife loves "Sparky". The bank lost out on some money. I wish I would of had this car when I was younger. Randy - Purchased a Used car

I Bought it for $8500 cand nevbY
I have a 2 mile commute to my office. I bought it a month ago and so far it’s a blast to drive. Plenty of room in the front seats. The glove door striker broke, but the part was $10 and arrived in a week and I fixed it. I plug it into 120 volts when it’s down to 30 miles and it recharges overnight. So far so good! It’s a 2016 LT1 with 26k miles. - Purchased a Used car

Practical commuter car
Just the right size for everyday short trips around town. Charging a home is convenient, especially after I installed by own Level 2, 240 volt, 3 kW charger that I bought online from Home Depot. It is a General Electric charger, suitable to indoor or outdoor mounting. I mounted the charger in the garage. I used an electric clothes dryer receptacle as my electric power source. - Purchased a Used car

Great EV for the money....
It is hard to understand why more people don't choose to go all electric for at least one vehicle. I have solar panels and with a nice little EV like the Spark, you can save several hundreds of dollars per month. It has more power and acceleration than the gasoline version, all the amenities (AC, power steering with lots of airbags) and will handle 90% of my needs to run around town. If your total travel is less than 60 miles (which happens more often than you would think) it will get you there and back and at the same time pulling away from all the big diesel trucks (and almost any other car) off the line. Electric is the way to go. - Purchased a Used car

Cheapest to drive vehicle I have ever owned
This is a great town car but for most of my uses it has proven to be a nail biter. I drive this to the big city 42 miles away mostly highway driving and by the time I am a few miles from home I have exhausted the miles. Fortunately the car has allowed me to get home at a very reduced speed. When they gave it a range of 87 miles that was without any air conditioning. You need air conditioning where I live or you are going to die. - Purchased a Used car

2016 Spark EV
Excellent car, really fun to drive, Great range for one of the many sub 100 mile electric cars. Regen is amazing and much better than the Leaf... much closer to a Tesla. Everything about the car is well thought out & very nicely executed. The value is exceptional providing you lease then car to get all the incentives & discounts off the MSRP at time of purchase - which provides a great value. Then just buy out the lease if you prefer to purchase it over continuing the Lease. At the MSRP, this car will far short of what you would expect for a car at that MSRP. But even then its still a really fun car is you can afford it at MSRP. It is a cheap car just as the gas Spark is a cheap car, but the electric drivetrain, instrumentation, re-tuned suspension and added creature comforts are superior to many other sub 100 miles EV?s that cost much more, and that makes the Spark the perfect candidate for what an affordable electric car SHOULD be. Electric cars don?t need to be six figure luxury vehicles. The CCS fast Charger is an excellent option and a must have - recharging at 47kw is amazing & fast. Only a couple issues/cons I can see. The Spark is also much more efficient that our Leaf. We average around 5.5-6 miles per KW in the Spark, compared with 4.5 +/- in the Leaf - same driving on the same roads. 1) Chevy hobbled the Spark with a 3.3 kw onboard charger - any Battery electric car should have a minimum 6.6kw charger. Even with a 3.3 kw charger, it re-charges quickly and we get a solid 90-100 miles out of it - up to 120. 3.3kw charges are for plug in hybrids. 2) The heater is not a heat pump, rather, its an electric heater that uses more battery power than necessary. Not an issue for us in AZ as the heater is only used a hand full of days per year. The AC works great and is almost to cold at times. 3) Legroom - this is just my curse being 6? 10? tall - my knee hits the Knobs on the lower left console & is overall a bit tight. Bottom line - Even though our Leaf is more comfortable for me, I prefer to drive the spark and really enjoy it more than the Leaf. - Purchased a New car
