  • I recently leased a 2024 Quattro premium plus 55.

I recently leased a 2024 Quattro premium plus 55. I have not had the severe issues others mention in reviews, but agree that the electronics and software are sometimes frustrating. It drives nicely for an SUV (I prefer driving small cars). I don’t like the behavior of the brakes. You have to really step on them for the final 5 mph to complete stop — they are not linear. I know VW knows how to do brakes in an EV, because the e-Golf is fantastic. Also annoying are the steering wheel buttons — again, big downgrade from the e-Golf. Overall, happy with the great lease deal I got.

  • Worst vehicle by Audi.

Worst vehicle by Audi. We bought this car 6 months before for lease, the tire got blowed twice, even for the small stones. luckily we got escaped from accident. The car weight is too high but they have not put the right tier to manage the heavy weight. Please don't buy this vehicle as it's very risk of your life when you drive on the road.

  • Nothing but problems.

It’s been in the shop five times and at the time I am writing this review, I have only owned it for 6 months. The car is esthetically appealing. The inside is well designed but the MMI/computer system has more things going wrong with it than it does right. Signal detect function: there are traffic light signals that can be detected by the car however, the car doesn’t detect most of the lights that have been known to register on the system. If it does detect a traffic light, then the computer will show an grey outline of the light, when it’s supposed to be showing the signal colors, i.e. red, yellow, green, and counting down, the time that the signal will stay red to turn green. Stereo: Audi gives you an option of having the stereo connect to its internal Wi-Fi or radio. Frequency antennas. The third option is for it to automatically flip between using the two when driving in places that may not have the best service for Radio. However, for four months, I would listen to either the radio, XM or Apple play and the song that was playing at the time would play till the end, but then start back up again in the middle of the song. For those of you who used to have a record player it was like the record skipped and the song would over. I asked two different Audi dealers to look into this problem four times. They were never able to figure out what the problem was. It wasn’t until I took it to a third Audi dealer that they took the car off of using the option to automatically flip between one frequency and another, that it was fixed. However, now I cannot use the option to have it automatically detect a signal when out of the city. Apple play; Apple play seems to be an issue in Audi vehicles across-the-board. The Apple play in the Q4 malfunctions on a daily basis. When streaming music from different platforms, the computer screen at the center console will freeze. It will either freeze on the song and continue to play the same song over and over or the screen will go blank. I have been in a loaner car for the last two weeks and when using Apple play in the loaner car, the computer screen at the center consul has stopped streaming music turned black and stayed black until I switched it to the radio. Once it was on the radio for a few minutes it then switch back to Apple play and continued playing the song it was playing. This is what happens on a daily basis in my Q4. it’s only happened twice in the loaner vehicle, but seems to be a problem beyond the e-tron. There are actually quite a few more problems that this car has had most small, technical issues but when it happens on a daily basis, it is very frustrating. My plan is to get rid of this car and not buy another Q4 in its place.

  • A meh car

I was really excited to get this car. The test drive went okay. I actually liked the Volvo better but the pricing was a big deciding factor in my decision. I had read a lot of expert reviews but none of those really talk about the ownership. They drive the car for a couple of hours and press a few buttons and write. Here is the real scope from the new point of an owner (4 months). Pros: the cabin feels like a car not an iPad. There are buttons for climate controls and if you want the heat up or down, you don’t have to “navigate”. Just press the button up or down. Minimal cheap flimsy plastic usage. The acceleration is quite good for daily driving and compare to gasoline cars although it lacks as compared to the competitors. Cons: almost all the electronics. The entertainment (MMI) is buggy and does not have all the features of the regular Audi. It loses your settings. The myAudi app the same. You cannot open or lock the car or find its location on the map. Calling Audi for support is pretty much useless. They blame your phone for the buggy behavior. If you turn on the climate via app, it will not turn off after you turn off the car and lock it and walk away. You need to turn it off from the app!! The ElectrifyAmerica credits are a joke. The sales person tells you 5-6 charges. I charged 67 KW and more than half the credits disappeared. There are 2 locations for ElectrifyAmerica in Boston area and they are pretty busy and the prices are crazy high. The range is not what is advertised. When it is warm with normal driving you get about 210-220 on a good day and a new battery. When it is cold you are lucky to get 160-170 on a full charge. I charged the car 100% and left it out in the cold for a week and came back to 65%. Per mile, It is more expensive to operate than gasoline cars in Boston area. It takes much longer to charge compared to others. The windshield wiper makes noise and bounces, it pretty much streaked after a few days. The lane keep assist is inconsistent. Not very good and turns off and on without warning. If you leave I alone it bounces you between the left line and the right line within your lane. The pano roof is a regular sunroof and a smaller fixed one behind it. The sensor for the hatch open almost never works. It has stared making a clacking noise in the back when driving on a nonsmooth road. Phone charger sometimes doesn’t work. The handling is underwhelming. Much more.

  • At least the motors work

I leased a 2023 Q4 e-tron 50 Premium Plus S-Line because it was one of the only EVs available with dual motors, cold-weather options, and a tow hitch. The headline here is that the driving part is okay, but the other electronics are an utter mess. The car will always try to log you in when you turn it on, but sometimes this process takes ages or fails altogether. The radio will play random stations rather than the last one you listened to. The volume level is anyone’s guess. And yet, it’s not easy to change the volume or the station. Preset buttons have been replaced by a touchscreen that you can’t use without looking away from the road. The volume controls on the wheel and console are touch-sensitive and impressionistic at best; gone are the precision and surety of a manual dial. One time, the car started and the touch screen didn’t turn on at all. It was almost a relief. But it’s not just the radio. The navigation map is endlessly frustrating. You can zoom in on the map… but in a few seconds the system will zoom out again of its own accord. The range estimates vary wildly and seem only to care about efficiency over the last few miles you drove. In fact, the only thing on the console that works more or less as it should is the climate control, operated safely and securely by actual buttons. As for the rest of the cabin, it’s spacious and the seats are comfortable, though the leather feels much cheaper than on earlier models. Oh, and that tow hitch? When attaching or detaching anything, you may inadvertently set off the automatic trunk opener – not a good luck when there’s a bike rack in the way. The dealer said they didn’t know how to deactivate the sensor. Sad! The car drives well enough. It’s heavy, but the center of gravity is sufficiently low that it corners fine. That said, you’ll have to learn to brake earlier and harder. More than once, stopping while going downhill required standing on the brakes. The acceleration is good off the mark, as with most EVs, but nothing special at highway speeds. What about efficiency? You can expect to get 2.5 to 3 miles per kWh most of the time… unless you’re traveling at low speeds on a slight downhill incline and never meet a red light. The range for an 80% charge is usually listed around 200 miles, but achieving it is rare – especially since the car begs to be recharged with 30 miles left. Overall, I’m glad I only got a lease. Cars with this range will be obsolete in a few years, and I’ll never be in love with this one. Audi made great cars up through about 2018 – what happened?

  • Sudden Unintended Acceleration

My 2023 Q4 E-Tron suddenly accelerated on its own while my brake pedal was fully pressed down. The repairs have so far taken over 2 months and the repairs have been ridiculously expensive. Audi dealership has not been helpful and reluctant to help. Fully regret purchasing this car and would not recommend.
