Just bought this little suv, it's cool, bought it used and had some minor dings and dents, but overall still runs and looks great. I like that it uses E85 gas, cheap, american made, and runs perfect for a commuter, I'm happy with it thus far. Changed out all the fluids, runs perfect, no issues at all. I'm the only second owner of this car, it was actually sitting around for a long time, the owner kept it in his garage.

  • Not a reliable car

There’s always something breaking. The engine of this car is not made good. It will burn oil like no other and break your engine. The interior and exterior is nice and clean, I loved it, but the money you will be putting into fixing this car is not worth it.

  • Worst Car I've ever owned

I used to own a 2009 Saturn Vue which is the pre-cursor to the Captiva. My vue was eventually totalled, and I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva. Purchased used. My Vue, no major problems, just routine maintenance, brakes, and a CV boot replacement. My 2013 Captiva looks cute, but is a total nightmare. I've never spent this much $$$ on car repairs EVER! I've not even had it a full year and I've easily spent about $3000 in repairs and we're not finished yet! Two separate oil leaks. Two serpentine belts. New oil cap (leaking). Radiator blew, so right now I'm getting that replaced along with a new hoses and thermostat. Still to go is the rack and pinion steering (leaking), and more valves / gaskets that are seeping oil. Also replaced battery and 4 tires. Multiple oil changes. Uses LOTS of oil. Have to check every week and add oil. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!

  • Don’t buy this car

I’ve had bad ac, know winter is here realized my heat not working. Had one tire with low air pressure when I drove it home. Had the car about 6 months with 130,000 miles I’m getting a diesel sound and after ready so many common customer complaints I’m wandering if I got a complete lemon

  • Disappointed, Never had such a bad car from Chevy

Inside design is ok, replaced molding on driver seat, needs done again clips broke both times not doing it again at $115.00 each , Engine is bad news. 120,000 total miles, 2 engines and a set of injectors later $5687.24 out of my pocket + towing and car rentals because dealer had none available. First time engine jumped time bent rod and blew out engine 83,000 miles, 97,500 miles PVC system froze blew out rear main. 120,000 check engine light came on - new injectors needed. GM picked up the remaining cost but this is way too much for mileage on car. The total purchase 21,000.00 my repair cost 30% of new.

  • Pretty nice for a fleet vehicle!

Very nice vehicle. I love the size and cargo space. It handles very well for an SUV. I hate that it was replaced by the equinox.

  • Worst vehicle I ever owned

The Captiva was great for the first year and has been falling apart ever since. Blew out the rear crank seal due to a design flaw. It froze the PCV valve and created enough pressure to blow the seal out and leak all the motor oil out. Chevrolet knows of this design flaw in colder climates but still offers no recalls or service bulletin. I’m out over $2000 in repairs. The tilt steering is not driver friendly, just not enough range in it and the rest of the parts that fall off the car speaks for itself, Mexican made junk. Never again.

  • Worst car I ever owned

The ride is hard due to size and suspension on car, gas severe electrical issues that even the dealership don't have an answer for and yet they charge for guessing. Car shuts off or won't start unexpectifully, it's the worst car ever.

As looking for a used car is no easy task, this was a very surprise moment, as the car was in really good shape and with some minor fixing it was all new again. So I stay very surprise by it.
