I was wanting to downsize from a F150 super crew because
I was wanting to downsize from a F150 super crew because of garage space and I needed something easier to get in and out of. The Maverick fills both needs very nicely and gets lots better fuel economy. So far I am very happy with my decision. - Purchased a New car

The main reason I got this car was the gas milage and it
The main reason I got this car was the gas milage and it doesn’t disappoint! My drive to work is 14 miles one way. My old Jeep, I had to fill up every other week. Overall, I’ve owned my XL for about 2 weeks. So far I’ve only taken one trip with it which was a 2 hour drive one way. It handled incredibly well with the slick roads, and the drive was enjoyable. I took one star off reliability because the battery issue. 1 week into owning it I took a 5 minute trip to the grocery store which turned into a 5 hour ordeal. The car only sat there for about 2 minutes and I went to remote start from my app. It said there was an error and I figured I was too far away (about 100 yards). I got out to my truck and started it and it gave me a bunch of error messages. It couldn’t drive. So, I called to have it jumped. They came out to jump it and even afterwards, it had all sorts of error messages. I ended up waiting another 2 hours for the tow truck and ended up being stuck at the dealership for another hour. The next day my car was returned to me, good as new. It was a battery issue according to the dealership. They put in a new battery and it’s working fine again. That’s why I took off one star for reliability. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen again in the future. Also, the amount of recalls is impressive and disheartening. If you’re in the market for a small truck with good gas mpg, this is your car. I don’t use the bed, but I plan on getting a cover so I can put luggage back there for my next trip. - Purchased a New car

I got the Mavrick Larit, but it didn't come with the front parking distance Decator and no fog lights. The mileage is very good and comfortable, but the one thing I don't like on both of my Ford Explorer and Ford Maverick is the systems that turn off the engine and knocks both the engine and transmission which will become a bigger problem where the engine and transmission will break plus I also have to turn off the swaying system which causes my truck steering to lock up when I'm not towing anything so i have to turn this off also. - Purchased a New car

Right at 4k miles on my 2024 Lariat hybrid.
Right at 4k miles on my 2024 Lariat hybrid. So far very pleased with the vehicle and amazed at the mpgs. I average 42 mpg on my 30-mile commute, a balance of highway and surface streets; 35-37 straight highway at 75 mph. The truck is a great size for me; occasional use of the bed for home chores and light hauling. Put it in perspective, - it's Ford's least expensive vehicle and so it is built to a budget. I got the Lariat with all the toys, but I recognize it's a $25k vehicle with $12k of lipstick. My only wishes would be for memory, ventilated front seats. This is my 5th and final car bought new; I usually take them to 11-13 years and 200k miles. Build quality matches the others I've bought (Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Subaru), and the one recall (taillights) didn't phase me since Ford's mobile unit came and sorted it out at the house. The Maverick will be riding me out to retirement and become my explore/travel car. Based on this drivetrain being proven as NYC Escape cabs, I have few worries. - Does recommend this car

Toyota Prius + Chevy S10 = Maverick
My dad picked up a 24 Maverick Hybrid Lariat Lava red and circa 1978 interior blue and tan interior with leather seats 36k out the door. Interior is well made leather seats are comfortable bed is typical of a modern truck it holds your stuff fine. Gets 49 to 51 mpg driving like a normal person on a secondary 50 to 55mph highway and 40 to 42mpg on a main highway doing 65 to 80mph towing it gets 22 to 25mpg towing 4000lbs and 24 to 27 empty trailer. 1,500 miles in i'm impressed it's not a hardcore truck not for a contractor but for the average joe that hauls a boat once a year and need to throw firewood, furniture and a TV in the bed it's great the modern S10. Towing over 3000'b it's sluggish uphill panel gaps can be meh. The infotainment can randomly crash and the trim piece around the glued in tablet feels cheap overall a homerun if you can get one not marked up - Purchased a New car

Good Buy overall still room for improvements
Took delivery of my 2024 Hybrid Maverick Lariat (Black appearance Package, Luxury Package, & Co-Pilot 360) in January of 2024. Only 380 miles on it and I am at a half of tank of gas left of the initial fill up. That is over 50 mpg! The comfort of the ActiveX seating is nice (not a fan in general of leather or variations here in Florida) Seats are comfortable though. The Interior is rather sharp. The plastic scuffs kind of easily but overall, it looks sharp and feels like it fits. The navigation screen is on the cheaper side and basic, but it works really well so far. For the upgraded Audio I really expected a better overall sound from the speakers (fairly cheap to upgrade though). I did have to do some hunting to track down a couple vibrations that were rather easy to resolve. I do have a weird pop I hear after running for a few minutes when I turn a corner. Sounds like maybe the plastic trim on the Driver's Side A pillar but not for sure yet. Not a problem as of yet just an observation. The worst aspect is that with a Lariat with Lux package you still have a basic rearview mirror. You would think you would at least get an auto dimming or may auto dimming with homelink for $40K. DIY fix would be about $150 bucks for that. Performance wise I am rather impressed. Naturally my MPG is rocking so far but the different driving modes have a very clear and distinctive feel with each. Sport mode truly makes it feel like an entirely different vehicle with a more powerful engine which is great. Best fuel economy in Eco and Slippery modes. If I had any negatives, it would be in Eco Mode starting from a stop it is a touch sluggish to get going. So be careful pulling out into cross traffic for a turn. If I had any other minor complaint, is I wish the truck would remember my driving mode preference instead of resetting to Normal mode each time you turn on the vehicle. Exterior looks really nice. Uniform paint color nice subtle lines. Bedliner was sprayed in correctly with no missed spots. However, the tailgate does not seal at all. Large gaps on both sides. I have added tailgate seals to make it better for water/ dust resistance. I have a tri-fold tonneau cover that seals nicely, but water will still seep in because of the molding design on the sides of the truck, the fact there is no space between the bed and cab like a traditional truck, and the tailgate leaks in from the top (working on a fix still for that). Reliability wise I can only say so far so good. Value. I am at a toss up. I think if you look at the XL which starts at $23,815 vs the lariat which starts at $34,855 that is a huge price jump. If you want a cheap truck stay XL or maybe XLT (Starts at $26,315 if you want some Luxuries). With the BAP, Co-Pilot 360, and Lux package you see it around $38K which I think brings it closer to where you have to really consider if you want to drop over $40K (including tax, title, tag, dealer fee, and destination charge) for a small "cheap" truck. It was pushing it for me but to each their own. Over all I would say 4.5 stars though. Would I do it again? Lariat Lux maybe not. But XLT for sure yes. - Purchased a New car

2024 Ford Maverick
Wanted a smaller pickup truck for commuting and still have the ability to carry smaller loads and provide reasonable fuel mileage. For just under 32K I got a XLT FX4 that does everything I need it to do at an extremely reasonable price, so far I'm thrilled with the truck. It's really sharp in the Atlas blue and I find it to be really functional. - Purchased a New car
