There so many recalls on this car and Buick needs to fix every one of their encores that come in with problems ..I hate this car and if I knew bout this car before I would have never bought it ! One of the worst reliability cars out there.
One of the worst reliability cars out there. I had so many engine issues (AC went out twice, air intake issues, transmission issues). Lost so much money on repairs, I had finally just had to get rid of it. Would recommend avoiding this model at all costs. - Does not recommend this car

I bought my 2015 Buick Encore Convenience from an aging
I bought my 2015 Buick Encore Convenience from an aging family member in early 2020 as they no longer could drive. It only had 12k mi on it. It had sat a lot. The body and interior were like new. Right away the car had odd electrical problems with the dash lights flickering, radio going out and clock always loosing time. Checked multiple times at dealer to no avail. First major repair was a fried core coil, plugs and wires at about 60k. Then had failed ac compressor, then a failed thermostat, then replaced water pump-all before 100k. Electrical oddities continued. Car bucking, shuddering at times, has slight burning smell at highway speeds, multiple repair checks to no avail. Keep saying “it just needs a tune up.” Now at 114k, bucking started again, check engine light on, catalytic converter failed and is being replaced. The car seems to run hot, on cool dark mornings (45-65 F outside temp) - hot air will blow towards driver with heater off and vents closed. But Not when it’s 15F outside! I worry this model has endemic electrical system flaws that are frying systems well before they should need replacement. I usually have Hondas (since 1980) so this level of breakdowns and expensive repairs is unexpected. Each repair I think it will solve the problem. Worry to take it on any trips and be stranded. Have had to baby the bucking Buick to repair shop too many times. - Does not recommend this car

I wont buy another
It’s a cute car! I bought it in 2020 and have had to have several things replaced. at this point, I believe I have spent more than half the value on the car in repairs and I’m still paying on it. So for me I don’t feel like it’s worth it. - Purchased a Used car

Terrible car
Ever since I bought this Buick encore, the transmission has been quirky. Two Buick dealership said that this is how the transmission is set up to operate that nothing is wrong with it. But it shifts extremely hard and seems to hunt for the gear constantly on acceleration. Sometimes it feels like it’s not even coming out of gear when you step on the brakes. I cannot recommend this car to anyone. - Purchased a Used car

5/10 overall
I would rather stand with my head out of the sunroof then sit in the passenger seat. Bought with 70k miles. Had some serious lifter/ valve knocking. Overall 5/10. Not the worst but definitely not a Toyota or Honda. - Purchased a Used car

no reason to complain
Bought this Encore about a year ago its a 2015, we have driven it daily and just cant find a reason to complain. Its not a race care with its1.4 engine so don't expect it to be fast off the line or on the highway Good on gas handles well, again its not a sports car, just a reliable get around vehicle, one thing very small cargo area - Purchased a Used car

Cute but costly
I like this car and got it used but at a lower mileage in 2019. Within less than 2 years I had spent at least $4000 additional on replacing parts or on other issues that required immediate attention and by Buick specific dealerships. And that's aside from regular service costs. Each problem was major and they lined up so that as soon as one was fixed, something else would go wrong. Turbocharger need replaced, oxygen sensor needed replaced, some valve thing needed replaced, etc. All the things have ran together in my head because they all severely irritated me since they were so close in occurrence, had similar symptoms, and cost a pretty ugly penny for such a newly released car (at the time) and it's looking like one of the previous mentioned issues is beginning to arise again currently. It's a neat and cute cat, I'll say that, but the rack on top is basically useless as you can't actually attach anything up there, the cubby under the radio is too shallow for a phone to sit in, and not big enough for anything else, honestly, the space under that isn't really big enough for anything either, and the storage area in between the seats has a cute little slide-close cover but it's also not big enough for much of anything, the extra glove box is literally only big enough for gloves or wipes or something, the passenger seat is not all that adjustable like the driver seat, the Bluetooth doesn't automatically connect to your device, and there's something up with the locks acting up that I haven't diagnosed yet. All in all, way to costly for the stress and irritation it's caused. - Purchased a Used car

Great little SUV
We bought our 2015 Buick Encore about nine months ago. It had a little over 56,000 miles on it. We have put a little over 5000 miles on it with no problems at all. Drives and looks great. - Purchased a Used car

2015 Buick encore NIGHTMARE! HORRIBLE vehicle!
I bought my 2015 Buick encore in 2017 with 52000 miles on it. I have since had to fix each year major problems costing me $2500-$3000 per Year to keep it running. I'm a grandma and drive like a grandma. I could have paid this piece of crap off 2x's over Simply on car repairs. Sparkplug coil, turbo, mass air flow, o2 sensors, manifold gaskets, catalytic converter, water pump and thermostat, ect, just to name a few of the problems. Never again will I buy a Buick. I bought Buick in hope of Finally having a reliable vehicle. It's been a nightmare! - Purchased a Used car
