One of the best vehicles ever owned, BEAST
Truck is a beast, only complaint was in northeast the truck rusted, and rusted some more, which obviously affects things as you go. Truck frame was like a tank, AC and Heat were the north pole and Sahara, the non-leather seats I have are impossible to stain. Gas it loves, another non positive but did not buy it to rival a Prius. The 8.0 L V10 had exactly zero breakdowns in 19 years. Could be a bit tough on brakes but everything else, just love it. Breaks my heart they didn't find a way to upgrade the v10 but ala the Hemi at 6.4L pumps out alot more horse- and less torque- and much more forgiving on gas mileage. But the 8.0L runs on regular, a huge advantage too. If not for my Chrysler 300C this is the best vehicle I've ever owned bar none, including Ford Mustangs, toyotas of all types, and one gmc (first/last). - Purchased a New car

Best Running/Most Durable Truck I Have Owned
With the 5.9 gas engine, my 2500 hasn't had any issues. It has plenty of torque to pull what I need. The plastics inside of the cab are cheaply manufactured in a lot of these dodges, but none of mine has cracked or given out yet after being 18 years old. Lots of fun to go off-roading in as well. Cheap to maintain, with a great/mean looking exterior. As long as you take care of it, these trucks will take care of you. - Purchased a Used car

Great truck bought new 2wd 6sp Cummins
I had some issues but still great truck. I had a #53 block, heater core, with 186K on the clock. Other problems I caused from over bombing. Blew up a turbo and popped a head gasket. clutch, twisted off drive line, good thing I do all repairs myself. Tows my fiver great I also just use it as a everyday truck. I will keep it as a forever truck. - Purchased a New car

Great work truck, but not w/o serious flaws
My is w/s trim(work/fleet), now has 124k on it. The 5.9 v8 is powerful enough, can tow, and is reliable enough. The fuel economy is poor, even considering the size and power of the engine, average just over 11mpg. Four issues are common to this truck; the interior plastics really are poor, dashes crack, cup holders break and fall down, glove box hinge pivots snap in half. A/C is weak at temps above 90+, hopeless in AZ desert; rides like it has no springs, even when empty and you set tire pressures at half load as the owner's manual recommends; and it's a serious rust bucket in the doors even if you keep the drains clear at the bottom of the doors. If you keep it loaded most of the time, it's a good unit, but if you drive it empty more than 25% of the time either the Chevy or Ford is a better choice. I have considerable weight in the bed to keep the ride barely passable. - Purchased a Used car

Lean and mean 4x4 Cummins
200,00 miles and running strong! Maintenance no more or less than any other vehicle. Preventive and regular maintenance is the key to life of any vehicle. With modifications truck is still trendy looking as far as today’s standard. With 4x4 diesel trucks running 70k + she’s a keeper. - Purchased a New car

Best used Truck I ever owned.
Well this 4X4 17 year old pickup is in the very best of condition it could be in. With 145,000 miles they must have been easy ones because this thing is TIGHT.Michael T. - Purchased a Used car
