I bought my 2019 Tiguan brand new.
I bought my 2019 Tiguan brand new. Fast forward to April 2024 with 55,000 miles on it and I had to have the engine replaced under warranty. Three weeks after getting the new engine,May 2024, the car goes into "Emergency Transmission mode". Another trip to the dealership and a transmission valve was replaced. Picked up the vehicle on a Wednesday and Thursday the vehicle again goes into " Emergency Transmission mode ", another trip to the dealership and the Transmission Control Module was replaced. Picked up the vehicle on Saturday and on the next Tuesday, you guessed it, back to the dealership with the " Emergency Transmission mode " in full effect. Since the first week of May 2024, now 13 June 2024, I have had my car in my possession for a total of 3 days. VW Customer Care is no help and simply!y apologizes for the car breaking down and the delay in getting it repaired. Once it is "repaired", I plan on trading this car immediately. I will never own another VW. - Does not recommend this car

I chose this Tiguan as it is large enough for me to carry my skis inside. It is extremely good on gas. It is very quiet on the road handles very well is very comfortable and is loaded with many safety and convenience features that I did not know I would even appreciate. It is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive. - Does recommend this car

Superb car.
We bought a 2019 Tiguan and we are very impressed. We've had many Toyotas and this is our first VW. Driveability is awesome, comfort is excellent. We will wait to see if it's as long lasting as a Toyota. - Purchased a Used car

I love this car. there are so many perks, but also a couple cons. 1. I love the interior, the buttons are very easy to understand. 2. I LOVE THE ALERT IT GIVES WHEN YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO A CAR, literally saved me from so many accidents. 3. it has a third row, which I didn't even find out about until a year after having my car, which was sick. although I love this car, but its not great in the winter. I probably got stuck about 40 times last year (not exaggerating). but I got new tires and were gonna see how it treats me. one of the only things I don't like about the interior is the center console. its really deep and I tend to lose things in there and it gets messy quickly. Overall I want to say that I definitely have emotional attachment to my blue volskwagon Tiguan, and don't know when ill ever let it go. I hope this review helps somebody. - Purchased a New car

2019 VW
Bought this new in September 2019. LES model. Has about 20,000 miles on it. Because we drive mostly city miles I’ve changed oil at 6.000 mile intervals. Engine uses no oil. Only problem I’ve had was the front rotors warped at 10.000 miles. They are made from inferior steel and rust easily when you wash the car. Replaced them with aftermarket parts. I like the way the car handles. I’ve driven for many years and many cars. I can honestly say I enjoy driving this car. - Purchased a New car

Great for tall people.
This is my second Tiguan. Being 6‘5“ tall this is one of the most comfortable cars in this range. I like the touchscreen controls and the handling is very nice and firm. The panoramic sunroof is also a big plus. It is not the fastest car out there for sure. Cargo room is great and you can seat four people very easily in it. Legroom is even good behind me for a Passenger . - Purchased a Used car

Brake issues
I have VW Tiguan 2019 with 4603 Mils (only). I have a issues with my brakes. Whenever I applied brakes then I have wobbling/Shaking. As per Dealer this issue is not covered by the Warranty. This is very surprising to me how this low mileage vehicle is not covered by this issue This issue is related to warrant item. As per my experience never buy this VW again in my life and will not recommend to any one of them - Purchased a New car

Good SUV, except for drive by wire throttle
2019 VE Tiguan Great responsive turbo 4 cyl, BUT the drive by wire throttle works on and off. I mean sometimes it works and other times NO and at a bad time such as pulling out into traffic and NO response from motor. Drive by wire means there are two electric switches ( solenoids) that talk to each other as to where the gas pedal (throttle) is positioned. Mine sometimes does not like to talk to each other at times, they “squabble “ and leaves you with nothing then all of a sudden a big rush of power The service manager has few ideas and says to bring it in next time VW doesn’t work, yeah we know that all cars will not work when you want them to. I called VW North America but no help as they are not aware of problem., however the internet is full of reports all way back to 2009 Tiguans . I contacted NHTSA and never heard from them again. This issue occurs intermittently but several times a day but you do not get used to it and you have to change your driving habits. - Purchased a New car
