<v Narrator>The LA Auto Show had some wild concepts and we're going to walk you through the best and the worst starting with the Mustang you see here.
Ford went all the way to Italy to get the design of this future Mustang, could be future Mustang, they're not saying if it will or will not be what's in the cards for 2009 or 2010, but it was certainly one of the best looking concepts we saw and hopefully something like this front end will translate to the next generation of Mustang. Inside was actually quite nice as well, they really did a great job with all the details on the dash, the steering wheel, everything was very well detailed, including this cowhide seating, which we probably won't see in a production car in the future. Honda's Remix was, you know, a real concept. It was made out of clay so there's no doors, nothing inside. Kind of small four cylinder, front wheel drive concept, could be the next CRX. There were some rumors about Honda bringing back the CRX and it would look kind of like this, if they did. Now, Honda also debuted the Step Bus, which is kind of funky, has sliding doors on both sides of a two-door, so that's kind of strange. Very small, could easily fit in a lot of parking spaces, especially with those sliding doors. So we kind of liked that aspect but it's a right-hand drive, so it's obviously geared at the Japanese market, but you never know with all this stuff coming here, perhaps they could make this for the US as well. But yeah, it was very strange, very funky but got lots of snapshots. Hyundai actually introduced a Hellion concept, very, very aggressive looking, very mean-looking, could see teenage boys really going for this one, lots of swoops everywhere, big fenders, strange windows in the back but very, very surprising for Hyundai to debut something that's this aggressive, so we really liked it and were impressed. Acura brought one of the worst concepts of the auto show with the Advanced Sedan concept. It's just, weird looking folks. It's weird looking in person, it's weird looking here in the clips, kind of looks like the Batmobile, but not as well done. Probably not as tasteful either. It was just very strange. It's also a clay model it's not a real working concept. The best thing we found was that door handle. Volkswagen showed the Tiguan, which is definitely going into production, we just heard that this will be out by the end of 2007. So even though this is a concept, it's very close to what you'll see on the streets next year. It's based on the Golf, their Rabbit now, their small car and probably will sell really well. Small SUVs, compact SUVs are one of the hottest segments right now, and Volkswagen took their time but it looks like they have a winner here with the Tiguan. The Mazda Nagare is a wild, when we said wild concept, this is the one we were talking about. This is a design concept, this is to show off the future of Mazda's product lineup. You probably won't see a car that ever looks like this but it's kind of their philosophy in concrete form. It flows from the front all the way to the back, you see these headlights on the fenders kind of whisp over the fenders and there's lines all the way up the sides, all the way to the tail lights. So it's this flow, it's what Nagare means in Japanese is flow and it's wild but it made their point. And we think some things like the fenders and the wheels you could see on a future Mazda.
