(upbeat music) Hi, I'm Joel Wiesenfelder from Cars.com. We're trying something new today. It's the two-minute comparison between the BMW 335i and the Infiniti G37 S which is what I'm in right now. All right, go.
The acceleration is really nice in this car. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of torque down at low rubs, so you really have to rev it higher to get more out of it. The steering is good, good feedback. The balance is pretty good, but it feels like the front ends a little bit heavier. The aluminum trim is really nice. It's pattern after Japanese Washi paper. On the other hand, on this side, the handle has a different kind of metal or metal looking material that looks like it's scratched up pretty badly already in this new car. You might treat your car a little bit better than a bunch of journalists though so there's that. The shifter on this car is really good. I liked it better than BMW has short throws, really defined gates, and it really feels like it connect to the car while you're driving. Cup holders, not so great. These deals here, I guess they'll do the job, but they're not impressing anyone. All right. Onto the BMW 335i. It's a retractable hard top convertible. It's not exactly a one-to-one comparison with the Infiniti, but you know, what do you want your money back? It's cars.com it's free. The engine on this one is a twin turbo, six cylinder. Even though it's a turbo, I think it's better at low revs than the Infinity so it's quicker off the line. I'm gonna give it the advantage of this one. Steering is good has that BMW feel. The balance front to rear is a little bit better than down the Infiniti, but this is a convertible so again, not that good of comparison so we'll just make that one a tie. The interior is nice, quality BMW interior, but it's actually starting to look a little plain. They haven't done much with it to modernize it. The metal is also aluminum it has a texture of its own. It's not Washi paper. I don't know. It's perhaps the German version of Washi. As for the cup holders they're pretty dismal. This is supposed to be one. Let's stick one here to shut the Americans up, this thing. Come on it's insulting. Overall it's very close because of the price I'm gonna give it to the Infiniti G37. That's it the Cars.com, two minute comparison. I'm Joel Wiesenfelder. How did I do? Yes! <v Announcer>Additional information on this car or any other go to Cars.com and our blog Kicking Tires.
