(upbeat rock music) <v Announcer>Cars.com Auto Review. Hi, this is Joe Bruzek from cars.com. We're here with the new Prius V. Now this is in addition to the regular Prius model and the V stands for versatility.
How is this different? There's a lot more room in the back. The additional room back here isn't the only trick in the Prius V. This rear seat is a 60-40 split, and each split will slide forward and back, and also recline up to 45-degree angle. Now the floor back here is also flat. There's no tunnels. There's plenty of room back here to store something in the middle, or just give additional room. There's a lot of space in the back in the cargo area. The rear seats fold flat and give you a flat loading floor. Now the cargo load-in height is also low, which is very good. There's additional storage underneath the cargo area, where there's a few bins to put assorted items. Now the additional size does have a hit on gas mileage. This model only gets 40 miles per gallon combined compared to 50 miles per gallon, but for the amount of room in the back, that's still very good.
