The 2022 Chicago Auto Show has given us our first chance to get up close with the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer.
Now, the Blazer first rejoined Chevrolet's lineup back in 2019 as this sporty looking crossover SUV, as opposed to the more off-road oriented version it had been in the past. And for 2023, it gets some subtle exterior styling changes and also some important tech updates inside. Chevrolet had both the existing Blazer and this new refresh model on the auto show floor, and we're able to see really how minor the updates are. You can see some of the changes in the front bumper design, which is slightly different. The new Blazer also has new LED headlights and daytime running lights, and new 18, 20, or 21 inch wheel designs. This RS trim level has the 21 inch wheels. And around back, you can also see that it has new tail light designs. The inside of the 2023 Blazer only sees a few changes, but I think they're ones consumers are gonna appreciate. It gets a standard 10 inch touchscreen multimedia system that replaces the eight inch screen of the existing Blazer. And now, all trim levels are available with wireless charging, as opposed to just the higher trims of the existing model. The Blazer's drivetrain choices are unchanged for the new model year, it's still available with front or all-wheel drive, and either a 228 horsepower turbocharged two liter four cylinder engine, or an available 308 horsepower 3.6 liter V6. And both of those engines team with a nine speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet hasn't announced pricing yet for the new Blazer, but the existing model starts at around $35,000. So it's likely this one should be close to that. It's supposed dealerships this summer, and if you wanna check out more information on it, and other news from the Chicago auto show, check out cars.com.
