(upbeat music plays) Hi, this is Joe Bruzek from cars.com. As you can tell from the license plate on this car, we bought a Honda Civic. Now this is a new addition to the cars.com long-term test plate.
And we purchased this Civic because it's one of the best selling cars, and also for 2013, it is significantly changed. Now the 2012 Civic was all new, then Honda went back to the drawing board based on criticism of the 2012, and made this a significantly better car. Now, out of all of the Civic trim levels, we chose the base LX, the entry-level model. Which has, a ton of new features for 2013. Now over the next year of ownership, stay tuned to kicking tires as we report on gas mileage, ownership costs, and just general quirks that we find along the way. (car engine sound plays)
