Which new car is the least likely to give you trouble down the road? Here at cars.com. We've created the worry-free index, now in its second year.
We crunch a lot of data, including our users' consumer reliability ratings, expected repair and maintenance costs, and warranty terms to determine which cars are the most likely to be worry-free. At the top of the list, Toyota and Lexus. They took eight of the top 15 spots on the worry-free index for 2015. The very top car was the 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid, followed closely by the 2015 Lexus ES 300h. But a worry-free car need not be merely stoic. In third place is the iconic Chevrolet Corvette, a high performance sports car that made the list. Thanks to relatively low expected maintenance and repair costs. Family shoppers will like the Lexus RX 350 and Acura MDX, two SUVs that rounded out the top five. The MDX had especially low projected repair costs while the RX 350 had excellent consumer reliability ratings. For cars.com, I'm Kelsey Mays.
