About the video
Our run of 11.03 seconds in the quarter-mile is insane for a sedan you can buy straight off the showroom floor. For that kind of hellacious acceleration the $63,290 starting price seems reasonable.

(engine revving) We're here with the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. A 707 horsepower supercharged V8 sedan that Dodge says can do the quarter mile in 11 seconds flat. Now we've got a drag strip. We've got a Hellcat in its natural environment.
So let's put that to the test. (engines roaring) All right. We got GoPro's rolling and I'm heading to the burnout box. (engine screeching) (engine revving) (engine racing) <v Man In Crowd>Wow! (man laughing) (engine revving) (engine racing) It wasn't easy, but we eventually matched Dodge's just claim of 11.0 in the quarter mile. We ran 11.03 at 126 miles an hour. Now what did it take to get there? Took a light foot out of the hole, a sticky track and a nice cool day like we had. It also takes them the car set up correctly. We had the traction control in sport mode, not in track or off. And we also had the suspension in the nice soft street mode. I gave a little bit more weight transfer than the other suspension modes. Now we were so close to that 10 second mark. Didn't get it. But all it takes is a nice sticky tire and you'll be there without a doubt. (trunk slamming)
