Thoughts of South Florida’s coastline immediately conjure fantasies of cruising down beach-lined highways in a classic convertible with the breeze blowing through our hair and the warm sun shining overhead. Beachfront cruises are mostly only a fantasy for those of us landlocked folks, but South Floridians can cruise the picturesque highways all year long. Why not catch a glimpse of all the glistening new rides hitting dealerships this summer and beyond by seeing them all in one place at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show?

South Floridians are known to love their upscale cars, and luxury SUVs are no exception. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator was one of the big debuts at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, making subsequent stops in Detroit and Chicago this auto show season. Area residents now have their chance to check it out up close. The Aviator will be showcased along with other SUVs like the 2020 Telluride, Kia’s big new three-row SUV, and the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse.

3. 2020 Toyota Corolla

Sporting a bold new look and improved fuel efficiency, the 2020 Toyota Corolla is a more powerful version of its predecessor. With an MSRP of $19,500, the Corolla packs a strong punch of comprehensive passenger safety features with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, which comes standard. Car shoppers can head to the auto show to check out the Corolla before it hits dealerships this summer.

4. Luxury Customs and Classics

Luxury models abound at this year’s exhibit of customs and classics. Some of the highlights will come from manufacturers like Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Lexus, according to John Kiskinis, a spokesperson for the show.

5. Boys & Girls Club Support

After ogling all the freshest sedans, compacts, SUVs, EVs and trucks about to hit dealerships, visitors can head out of the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center knowing they supported a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from the auto show will support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. The organization has 12 clubs that provide a daily positive alternative to the streets for thousands of children, according the auto show organizers.
