How Much Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLB?

The GLA is technically Mercedes-Benz’s smallest and most affordable SUV, but if one were to argue that the GLA is a hatchback and the GLB is the brand’s entry-level SUV, they probably wouldn’t find any terribly committed opposition. Besides its more upright profile, the GLB also offers standard three-row seating, which makes it unique among SUVs of this size. For the 2025 model year, the Mercedes-Benz GLB is largely unchanged, and it starts at $46,950 (all prices include $1,150 destination charge).

In addition to the existing AMG Night Package, which endows non-AMG GLBs with more aggressive exterior and interior styling with black accents, there’s now a Night Package Lite that just includes black exterior accents and larger (but not black) wheels. In addition, the 360-degree parking camera is now offered as a stand-alone option (it was formerly only available as part of the priciest Pinnacle trim).

What Are the 2025 GLB’s Trim Levels?
Other than the number of driven wheels, the front-wheel-drive GLB250 and all-wheel-drive GLB250 4Matic are identically equipped. Both ride on 18-inch wheels and feature LED head- and taillights, a power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and keyless entry and starting. Standard equipment inside the cabin includes synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other than the surround-view parking camera, the GLB250s and AMG GLB feature the same roster of standard safety tech: forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, automated parking, a driver-attention monitor and automatic high beams. A Driver Assistance Package is available and includes front cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure steering assist, blind spot intervention, lane change assist and emergency steering assist.
In addition to its potent engine, the AMG GLB35 gets an adaptive sport suspension, upgraded brakes and more supportive front seats. It also gains a few standard luxury and tech features, including a panoramic moonroof, 12-speaker Burmester audio system and 360-degree parking camera.
All three GLBs are also available in Exclusive and Pinnacle variants. The Exclusive carries a $1,550 premium on the GLB250s and costs $2,150 on the AMG. It adds augmented reality navigation, illuminated front door sills and a 10-speaker sound system in the non-AMG variants and the navigation, illuminated front door sills, adaptive headlights and road-sign recognition in the AMG.
On the GLB250s, the $5,300 Pinnacle trim includes the Exclusive’s content plus a panoramic moonroof, adaptive headlights, a head-up display, a 360-degree parking camera, puddle lamps and gesture controls for the infotainment system. Since the AMG already includes some of those features as standard equipment, its $3,450 Pinnacle trim adds just the head-up display, puddle lamps and gesture controls.
What Are the 2025 GLB’s Powertrain Specs and MPG?
Every 2025 GLB is powered by a mild-hybrid turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In the GLB250, the 2.0-liter produces 221 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque. Massaged by Mercedes-Benz’s in-house tuning department, the AMG GLB35’s four-cylinder whips up 302 hp and 295 pounds-feet. To help maintain traction, the AMG is only available with AWD.
The GLB250 returns an EPA-rated 25/33/28 mpg city/highway/combined with FWD and 24/33/27 mpg with AWD. The AMG GLB is rated at 21/26/23 mpg.
