CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 100,000 model-year 2007-13 Mitsubishi Outlander SUVs

The Problem: Water may drop between the hood and windshield, which could leak into the wiper motor breathing hole, causing internal corrosion of the windshield wiper motor and possible failure. This could result in a loss of visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the wiper motor for free.

What Owners Should Do: Mitsubishi will begin notifying owners today. Owners can call the automaker at 888-648-7820, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
