CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 154,700 model-year 2011 Hyundai Sonata sedans

The Problem: The airbag control unit may short-circuit in the event of a crash, preventing the frontal and side airbags from deploying and the seat belts from tightening, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: The remedy for this recall is still under development.

What Owners Should Do: Hyundai will begin notifying owners April 20. Owners can call the automaker at 855-371-9460, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
