Jaguar’s gorgeous C-X16 concept has already inspired one new production vehicle, the 2014 F-Type convertible, and Jaguar just gave us a glimpse of the second. The all-aluminum 2015 F-Type coupe will go on sale in spring 2014.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the F-Type convertible, but for me the purity of creating a sports coupe is a uniquely satisfying process — and I know that both visually and dynamically, F-Type coupe raises the bar yet again.” Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design, said in a statement.
No word yet on specs, but its convertible sibling is available in three trims: base models use a 340-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6; midlevel S models get power from a 380-hp version of the V-6; and topline V8 S trims use a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 that makes 495 hp. We’ll know more after the coupe makes its global debut Nov. 19, on the eve of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
