Electric Cars With the Longest Range
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- Range is still a big deciding factor for electric-vehicle buyers, so we’ve done the legwork of gathering every EV on sale with the longest driving ranges.
- The main criterion for this list is that the EV has to have a driving range greater than 350 miles.
- The list includes everything from electric pickup trucks to sedans and crossovers.
Range anxiety remains a major concern for car buyers considering an EV, even though the average driver drives just 29 miles a day, according to data from the Department of Transportation. Many new electric models are capable of traveling more than 300 miles without plugging in, while others can go 400 miles, and some can even reach 500 without needing a charge.

While the national average is just that, drivers in some parts of the country drive a lot more. Rural drivers typically travel greater distances than urban dwellers, as do drivers in places like car-centric Southern California or other densely populated areas without a lot of options for public transportation. Range can also vary widely based on a number of other factors, including outside temperature and weather conditions, number of passengers, how and where you drive, and vehicle trim level and equipment. To make shopping easier, we’ve put together a list of every EV currently on sale that has a range of 350 miles or more. It includes a broad range of models, including family-friendly crossovers, luxury models and pickup trucks. Our list includes vehicles with EPA estimates when available, but we’ll rely on manufacturer estimates when EPA figures aren’t available, such is the case sometimes when an EV is classified as a heavy-duty vehicle. All prices listed include destination charges, but not any state or local incentives.
