The A8 is Audi’s flagship sedan and it offers four engines to choose from: supercharged gas and turbocharged diesel V-6s, a turbocharged V-8 and a W-12, so named because it has four cylinder banks that overlap in the shape of a W. Competitors include the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Bentley Flying Spur. A performance model, the S8, comes with a V-8 engine.
