We’ve seenanddriven the redesigned 2016 Honda Civic sedan and are impressed with it; tonight, it’s the coupe’s turn. The 2016 Honda Civic coupe debuted at an event outside the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, echoing the new sedan’s powertrain lineup and interior features, but with a style all its own.
The coupe is 5.5 inches shorter than the sedan and strikes a much sportier profile with a roofline nearly 1 inch lower than its sedan counterpart. C-shaped LED taillights, which are standard, span the length of the rear deck lid. LED daytime running lights also are standard.
Inside, there are more soft-touch surfaces and additional features than in the previous coupe, including an acoustic glass windshield, automatic climate control (dual zone in upper trims), an electric parking brake and walk-away auto door locks. Newly available features include LED headlights, remote engine start, heated front seats and side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and a 7-inch display audio touch-screen.
