CARS.COM — The good thing about finishing dead last in Cars.com’s Subcompact SUV Challenge is that you have nowhere to go but up. So with its 2017 update, the Chevrolet Trax is hoping to make up lost ground with refreshed styling and more features.
Exterior updates include an all-new front end with a dual-level split grille and headlights made to resemble those of Chevy relatives Malibu, Volt and Cruze; that’s in addition to a restyled bumper and taillights and optional 18-inch wheels and LED accents on the Premier trim. The new Trax also addresses one of our biggest complaints — the cheap interior. A new flowing, one-piece dash area, a 7-inch center-console touch-screen and a new instrument panel and gauges are highlights of the cabin.
