If you like the Mazda MX-5 Miata then you will … probably kind of like the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider, maybe. But like one of our reviewers who got a close look at Fiat’s all-new roadster today at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, when you look at the 124 Spider you also may be bugged. You gotta admit, it sort of looks like the Miata went to the local street festival and had a caricature portrait done of itself.
From its friendly, pie-eyed face courtesy of really big, round headlights with LED surrounds to its high-set rear end, the 124 Spider tinkers with a bunch of stuff the Miata already got right the first time. Conversely, you might find the 124 Spider’s interior nigh-indistinguishable from the sports car it emulates, from its bolstered sport seats to its center-console multimedia knobs.
