CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,400 model-year 2018 Subaru Crosstrek SUVs

The Problem: An incorrect floormat retention bracket may be equipped. This might allow the driver’s side floormat to slip out of place, possibly interfering with the accelerator and brake pedals and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace inspect and replace the floormat retention bracket, as necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: Subaru began notifying owners this month. Owners can call the automaker at 856-488-8500, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
