Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,100 model-year 2019 Jeep Wrangler SUVs and model-year 2020 Gladiator pickup trucks, and model-year 2019 Ram 2500 and model-year 2019-20 1500 pickups
The Problem: The front seat belt retractors may not lock as intended during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the front seat belt retractors for free.
What Owners Should Do: Jeep and Ram manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners Nov. 13. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
