2019-2020 Lexus, Toyota Cars and SUVs: Recall Alert

2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 6,900 model-year 2019 Toyota Prius hatchbacks and RAV4 Hybrid SUVs; model-year 2019-20 Toyota Prius Prime hatchbacks; and model-year 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid sedans; and model-year 2019 Lexus UX 250h SUVs, ES 300h, LS 500 and LS 500h sedans, and LC 500 coupes

The Problem: The brake booster pump may have been manufactured improperly, and in some cases may stop operating, resulting in increased stopping distance. Additionally, the vehicle stability control system will become deactivated and other vehicle features could be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the brake booster pump, as necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: Lexus parent company Toyota will begin notifying owners by first-class mail in mid-September. Owners can call Toyota at800-331-4331, Lexus at 800-255-3987, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
