Vehicles Affected: Approximately 5,000 model-year 2019-20 Mercedes-AMG C63, GT 53 and GT 63 sedans, and model-year 2020 GLC63 SUVs

The Problem: An incorrect electronic stability program software version may cause the ESP system to react inaccurately while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will update the ESP software for free.

What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying owners Aug. 28. Owners can call the automaker at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
