Vehicles Affected: Approximately 6,600 model-year 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks, and model-year 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 heavy-duty pickups equipped with Rugger Liner hard tri-fold tonneau covers
The Problem: The attachment system may not properly secure the cover to the bed, which could create a road hazard if the cover separates, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will install improved attachments for free.

Owners can call Chevrolet at 800-222-1020, GMC at 800-462-8782, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
