2019 Dodge Charger: Iconic Badassery Dies Hard
The writing is on the wall for sedans, with many automakers announcing production shifts to wind down cars and ramp up SUVs — unless that car can demonstrate some serious badassery. Ford’s keeping the Mustang, and now Dodge has announced details on the revised Charger for 2019.

The latest iteration of the iconic muscle car gets an aggressive facelift, some additional performance goodies, wider all-wheel-drive availability and a revised model lineup.
Six trims will be available from the base SXT, which will continue to use the standard 3.6-liter V-6 but offer all-wheel drive this year, to the new mid-level GT model, which offers rear-wheel-drive performance and a horsepower bump.

In the middle, the Charger R/T returns with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. Above that slots the Charger R/T Scat Pack, which wrings more horsepower from the 6.4-liter Hemi and is loaded with more performance equipment. Topping the range again is the SRT Hellcat and its 707-hp, supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8.
