2020 Kia Sedona: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 5,400 model-year 2020 Kia Sedona minivans
The Problem: The battery positive terminal nut on the alternator may not have been tightened properly during assembly, possibly causing it to loosen over time, resulting in electrical arcing and increasing the risk of a fire.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the battery positive terminal nut and tighten it, as necessary, for free.
What Owners Should Do: Kia will begin notifying owners Aug. 14. Owners can call the automaker at 800-333-4542, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
