2020 Toyota Tacoma Update Goes Mild

Toyota used the 2019 Chicago Auto Show to show us the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. There aren’t a lot of changes, but each of the different trim levels will have a slightly different look. In fact, Toyota’s going to change the wheel design and give the Tacoma a new headlight design, and most trim levels will have a different grille. Those trims are: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro and the top-of-the-line Limited.

While each 2020 trim will have a slightly unique personality, there’s not a lot different that differentiates them from the 2019 models. The Tacoma still has the same cab configurations, the same engines, the same wheelbase and same bed lengths.

But inside, one of the biggest changes that we’re thankful to see is an electronically controlled adjustable driver’s seat — now, it’s only the driver’s seat, not the passenger seat. Another new interior detail is an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity — both firsts for the Tacoma. In the bed, Toyota will offer LED lighting so you can see what you’re doing when moving cargo around after dark.
