2025 Jeep Compass Stays the Course, Retains Starting Price

Entering its ninth year in its current generation, the Compass remains hugely important for Jeep; it’s the brand’s third bestselling vehicle behind the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler. Perhaps because of that, it isn’t changing for the 2025 model year — aside from a new color, Joose, which will be available later in the year — even down to its starting price: The entry-level Sport trim level still starts at $27,495 (all prices include $1,595 destination).

Powertrain Specs and MPG

Every 2025 Jeep Compass is powered by a 200-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 221 pounds-feet of torque and backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard, and the off-road specialist Trackhawk trim gets a two-speed transfer case with a low range. The 2024 Compass returned an EPA-estimated 24/32/27 mpg city/highway/combined; official ratings for the 2025 model are not yet available but should remain the same.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Jeep Compass is on sale now. Pricing for the rest of the lineup is as follows:

  • Sport: $27,495
  • Latitude: $29,765
  • Limited: $33,840
  • Trailhawk: $33,990

Trim Levels and Safety Features

Standard safety features on the Compass include forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-centering steering, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention monitor and rear-seat reminder.

The entry-level Sport trim rides on 17-inch wheels and features LED headlights, cloth seats, push-button start, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and six speakers.

To that, the Latitude adds keyless entry, vinyl seats with cloth inserts, and automatic high beams. Latitude buyers can also choose from a number of options that are unavailable on the Sport trim.

Meant to wander farther from the pavement than other Compasses, the Trailhawk rides on satin-black 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires and features skid plates, red tow hooks and hill descent control. It wears trim-specific front and rear ends, black exterior accents and an exclusive hood decal. The Trailhawk also gets a few on-road comfort upgrades, including leather-trimmed upholstery, the larger touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors.

At the top of the Compass lineup, the Limited is set apart with silver-accented front and rear ends, a shinier grille and 18-inch wheels. Inside, it features synthetic leather seating with accent stitching, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Limited also gets remote start and a windshield wiper de-icer.

There are also a few optional driver-assist systems. Jeep’s Active Driving Assist, which combines lane-centering steering and adaptive cruise control but requires the driver’s hands on the wheel, is available on the Trailhawk and Limited. Adaptive cruise control, standard on the Trailhawk and Limited, is available on the Latitude, and a 360-degree camera system bundled with automated steering during parking — though the driver still controls vehicle speed with the accelerator and brakes — is available on every trim level but the Sport.
